As a continuation of the radically redesigned luxury coupe introduced in 1967, the 1968 Cadillac Eldorado shared its E-body platform with the Oldsmobile Toronado and was among Cadillac’s first front-wheel-drive cars. Powered by a rebuilt 473ci V8 engine paired with a 3-speed automatic transmission, this 1968 example is refinished in Atomic Orange over a Black/White Houndstooth cloth interior. It comes equipped with power steering, power-assisted front disc brakes, a black vinyl roof, hide-away headlights, chrome bumpers and exterior trim, power accessories, an AM/FM radio, and more. This Eldorado is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Georgia.
This example is refinished in Atomic Orange and is accentuated by a chrome grille and bumpers, with bright trim outlining the headlights, windows, and lower body. Additional exterior details include a black vinyl-covered roof, hideaway headlights, fender-mounted turn signal indicators, and frameless door glass. It rides on chrome-finished aftermarket wheels wrapped in Kumho tires with under 2k miles of use. Detailed images are provided in the gallery.
The cabin offers a power-operated split front bench and a rear bench upholstered in Black/White Houndstooth cloth, accented by wood veneer trim. It has a three-spoke steering adorned with a Cadillac wreath and crest, power windows, a fold-down center armrest, and an AM/FM radio. The seller notes that while the speedometer, air conditioning, and cruise control are inoperative, no warning lights are illuminated.
Power comes from a 473ci V8 engine that was rebuilt in December 2022 and is equipped with a four-barrel carburetor. A factory-rated 375 HP and 525 lb.-ft of torque are delivered to the front wheels through a 3-speed Turbo Hydramatic 425 automatic transmission. It has a torsion bar front suspension, an independent rear suspension, power-assisted front disc brakes, rear drum brakes, and variable-ratio power steering. The seller reports that recent service includes new brakes, a replacement starter, and electrical system updates.
This sale will include a spare tire, a car cover, and a clean title.
The seller would like you to know: “Enjoy this lovely classic cruiser!”

Hey everyone! Thank you for checking out my El Dorado! I’ve had this car for a few years now and have put a lot of work, money, and care into it (Rebuilt engine, new brakes, new starter, etc) I only drive it every several days just briefly around the neighborhood, but apart from that it’s a show car! It gets tons of love every time it’s out and about from all sorts of enthusiasts of all ages. You really don’t see cars like this on the road anymore.
The reason I’m looking to sell it is because I’m looking to purchase a home and I want to find a buyer that will continue to care for it dearly. Please feel free to ask as many questions as you like!
