This Porsche 911 Coupe was originally completed on September 16, 1966, as an early 1967 production model. This classic short-wheelbase Coupe comes finished in its factory-specified color of Sand Beige and features a 2.0-liter flat-six engine paired with a 5-speed manual gearbox. Accompanied by a Porsche Certificate of Authenticity, this early 911 is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Colorado.
This short-wheelbase Coupe was reportedly refinished in its factory-specified shade of Sand Beige (6607) as part of a refurbishment under previous ownership. Equipment includes chrome bumperettes, gold-colored model lettering, front window vents, pop-out rear quarter windows, dual polished mirrors, silver wiper arms, and 15” slotted wheels with chrome Porsche-crested hubcaps and 165-width Pirelli CN36 tires. Additional images are provided in the gallery.
The cabin presents black leatherette upholstery with matching door panels and rear individual seats, which are all said to have been retrimmed during the refurbishment. Equipment includes a four-spoke steering wheel, aluminum dashboard trim, front lap belts, an AM/FM radio, a heater, and tan square-weave floor carpets. The seller notes a tear in the right rear seat pad.
This 911 derives up to 130 HP from an air-cooled 2.0-liter flat-six carbureted engine, said to have been refurbished by RPM Motorsports of Ontario, Canada, in 2018. The rear wheels are driven by way of a 5-speed manual transmission. Notable service items are said to include replacement Mahle pistons and cylinders, timing chains and tensioners with locking collars installed, a line-bored case, and a balanced rotating assembly. Additionally, a replacement flywheel and Sachs clutch are said to have been installed under previous ownership. The seller notes an oil leak present at the rear main seal.
This sale will include a clean title and a Porsche Certificate of Authenticity.

Sorry I am a little confused by the paperwork. Numbers matching engine and trans?
@Raposa Hello I'm sorry I don't have access to the vehicles documents as I'm currently traveling. I believe the odometer was reset to 0 when the restoration was completed and the vehicle shows about 80 miles on it now. So I assume it was discovered somewhere between 0 and 80 miles 😉

Ahoy! Any chance of seeing the details of the machine work done to the motor? How many miles from the time the clutch was done and the discovery of the leaky RMS? TIA

While I'm sure that later 911s have more power, etc, I still like the original 911 design best of all of them.
