Available for auction is this 1963 Cadillac Fleetwood 60 Special finished in Aspen White over a two-tone black and white interior. The 60 Special namesake was used by Cadillac since 1938 to designate some of its most luxurious vehicles. This example was purchased new in March of 1963 and changed hands within the original owner’s family in 1973. It remained in storage until 2008 when it was recommissioned and eventually acquired by the seller in July 2021. Under current ownership, the engine, transmission, suspension, and brakes have all been serviced. It features Philippine Narra wood trim, air conditioning, power seats, and a 390ci V8 engine paired with 4-speed Hydramatic transmission. This classic Cadillac is now being offered for auction out of New Jersey.
The body of this 60 Special is finished in Aspen White Lacquer. For 1963, the styling of the 60 Special was refreshed and adorned with new "wreath and crest" ornamentation on rear fenders. The front right fender of this Cadillac was reportedly refinished under the original owner’s care, and a few small imperfections are depicted in the photo gallery. It rides on a set of 15” wheels dressed in older Michelin tires.
The cabin is upholstered in Black Carriage Cloth and White leather and features Philippine Narra wood trim on the doors and dashboard. In addition to the standard amenities, it comes equipped with optional Soft Ray tinted glass, air conditioning, an AM radio with power antenna, 6-way power seats, a tilting steering wheel, and power windows. All gauges, electronics, and accessories are said to remain functional apart from the radio which does not receive reception, and the right turn signal which intermittently fails to cancel after the turn is completed.
New for 1963 was a 390ci V8 engine producing as much as 325 HP. The rear wheels are driven by way of a 4-speed Hydramatic transmission. Accompanying documentation indicates the car received a new battery, water pump, fuel pump, valve cover gaskets, heat riser and exhaust system, A/C dryer, fluids, belts, hoses, a brake master cylinder, brake booster, brake hoses/shoes, a carburetor rebuild, and gas tank refurbishment under previous ownership. Since the seller's purchase services have included new springs and front suspension bushings, new transmission seals, a new fuel pump, valve cover gaskets, and an oil and filter service.
This sale will include assorted documentation and literature, service invoices, some spare parts, and a clean title.

Good afternoon! Paint is original with the exception of the front right fender which was touched up in the late 1960’s with the original color in lacquer paint after a scrape. Seats are 100% original and in excellent condition as well as the carpeting.
Is the paint original, it looks like it was repainted (not a shock for a 59 year old car)? How about the seat and carpet, the seat look pretty awesome is why I am asking if they were redone.

Hi and welcome to the auction of this fine, well preserved 1963 Cadillac Fleetwood Sixty Special. It is a rare occasion that a car this original appears on the market. Please reach out to me with any questions and I will do my best to be prompt to answer.
With regard to the clock. The clock works sporadically so I’d feel safe saying it should be rebuilt or converted to a modern movement. All the windows work properly; even the front vent windows open and seal properly. As far as rust, there is no rust on this car.
Very nice well preserved Cadi! Does the clock work and the power windows operate completely? Any rust on this beautiful car?
