Available for auction is a sign for the 'big kids' out there - a genuine 1960's Tonka Toys illuminated shop sign! This sign is everything a sign should be - fun, full of character and one that makes you remember all the good times and the good things in life from the past. 
The sign works perfectly and looks equally as good with the light off. It has age, it has scuffs and scratches, but it is charming and there are no cracks in the screen or structural damage that prohibits the function of the sign. If anything, the scuffs and scratches add to the patina and character.
The sign measures just over 26" in length, just over 14" in height and just under 4" in depth. The casing is aluminum and quite robust. According to the seller, it has been in the UK since it was first used as the previous owner inherited the sign from his Grandfather who owned a toy shop in a small village in Devon, England. It was quite an advancement as it was the first illuminated sign the village had. 
The sign has a UK style plug attached and operates on UK voltage, but this can be overcome with a power converter for use in the USA. This is a wonderful and nostalgic sign for any grown up to display in the garage or perhaps even in the kids bedroom. Its possibilities know no ends. The buyer is responsible for shipping, handling, and fees.

Completely understand sentimental value, it keeps me from selling a dozen cars that don’t get driven enough!
@AdamoPitaliano I sincerely appreciate your interest in this sign but in all genuine honesty I am somewhat regretful I typed that amount in. For me there is significant sentimental value attached but the offer I have given you is beyond my comfort zone. If the postage cost is a concern I fully understand, however I simply cannot justifiably reduce it any further.

I just want to let everyone know that worldwide shipping of this special sign is available. As of yet I have not packaged the sign as it is currently in storage, however I have listed below an estimated cost of the shipping based on the dimensions:
UK - £50
Europe - €100
U.S.A. - $150
The price may vary slightly (possibly less and possibly a little more). I am always keen to make sure items are very well packaged and as a result the shipping estimation may change slightly. I always use UPS where possible and each item is fully insured against damage or loss. Furthermore, I do not charge for the actual packaging of the items as I have an abundance of packaging material in storage. The only cost would be for the actual courier itself.
