The 1960 Chevrolet Apache 10 is among the C/K series, which marked a shift in pickup truck design. It introduced a more modern, car-like focus on comfort and drivability, steering away from the utilitarian focus of earlier trucks. This 1960 example is powered by a 235ci inline-six engine mated to a column-shifter 3-speed manual transmission. Refinished in turquoise and white over gray upholstery, it equips a later-model front grille and hood, oak bed flooring, and more. This custom Apache is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Quebec.
Chevrolet’s Task Force series introduced the industry’s first wrap-around windshield, a taller cab, and redesigned bed fenders that would be carried through to 1966. This Apache was previously refinished in dual-tone turquoise/white and has been fitted with a 1961 model’s hood & grille. It rides on matching turquoise 15” steel wheels with polished hubcaps. Other details include a driver’s side mirror, replacement oak bed flooring, and chrome bumpers. Some paint bubbles are notes, and additional images are provided in the gallery.
The cabin features gray upholstery with patterned cloth seat inserts and white accents along the dashboard and door panels. Equipment includes a two-spoke steering wheel with a column-mounted shifter, multi-gauge instrumentation, a locking glovebox, roll-up windows, and various knobs and controls. The fuel gauge and radio are said to be inoperable.
Beneath the hood lies a 235ci inline-six engine, generating power to the rear wheels through a 3-speed manual transmission.
This sale will include a clean title.
The seller would like you to know: "A robust and well-maintained pickup, owned by a renowned automotive journalist and vintage car author. This truck has been meticulously cared for, reflecting the owner's passion and expertise. After 8-9 years of ownership, with just 9,200 original miles on this 1960 classic, he is now ready to pass it on to the next discerning custodian. A rare opportunity for any enthusiast. Rare opportunity to not be missed! GLWTA."

@larrylawson I sure can! Yes, of course.
In preparation for the sale, the owner, who has an unfailing professional conscience, asked a mutual friend to give the truck a phenomenal tune-up. André and his team set about removing and opening the engine and transmission to clean it /them from top to bottom to Top. Crankshaft reconditioning. Decarbonization and reassembly. New fluids, spark plugs. Cables. Valve adjustments and finishing touches here & there. Nothing was broken. Just the pleasure of giving the next owner a new truck.
OverDrive always worked. Owner just learned the procedure to engage it! 😁
Next custodian will have a super low mileage truck that just went through a 5000$ Service.
How good is that ?
Can you translate invoiced mechanical work to English. Overdrive was not working when vehicle was listed on BAT. Has overdrive been serviced and is operational now? Can you provide photos of inside door bottoms please.

@AlexBert thank you for the response.
@alland : You have the Paint Thickness readings. You can zoom all the pics down there. I will say You are correct for the bubbling. Can’t comment on Bondo situation. No Aggravation since Florida importation in 2016 though. But clearly something Winner of the Auction can manage if He wants it Museum. No need if Rig will be used as a pickup 🛻 truck in a Ranch pulling the hard work.
Rider's side bottom of door and front fender looks like bubbling rust and previous Bondo repair. Am I correct? Thank you.
