Built upon the chassis of a 1970 Volkswagen, this striking 1958 Porshce 356 Speedster replica was handcrafted by Vintage Speedsters featuring rare Super Widebody fenders, a baseball glove tan interior, and a 1,940cc VW engine paired with a 4-speed manual Freeway Flyer transmission. This example is now being offered for auction by its seller out of California showing just over 100 miles on the odometer.
The bodywork is handcrafted from fiberglass and comes finished in red with optional Super Widebody fenders and a retractable Camel soft top including a full tonneau cover and matching side curtains. Other equipment includes a driver's side mirror, teardrop taillights, and rear Porsche 1600 Super designations. A set of custom ESR Performance wheels are mounted with Hankook tires.
The cabin is trimmed with luxurious baseball glove tan leather upholstery contrasted by light tan square weave carpeting. Appointments include diamond-stitched seats, painted lower dashboard trim, a Nardi-style steering wheel, side curtains, and an air conditioning unit.
Power comes from a dual-carbureted 1,940cc flat-four VW engine, sending up to 200 HP to the rear wheels through a 4-speed manual Freeway Flyer transmission. Other features include Empi air filters and four-wheel disc brakes.
This sale will include a clean title.

It appears to me the right side of the car sits higher than the left side, both front and rear. also, in general, the body is sitting too high.

@finnmx5 Yes, though the car is located in CA currently.
@lancef It seems there was a bit of miscommunication on our part. To clarify, the car IS currently located in CA as noted in the listing. As far as the previous question, the seller does state that this vehicle IS out of the location in AZ.
Why is someone running themselves up? Why is it in Arizona and not California as posted? Where in Arizona? Hard to keep bidding with weird stuff happening
Thank you for the video. Can you start it up and put that on the video?
@finnmx5 unfortunately the seller is unable to communicate at the moment. Yes, the seller notes that the vehicle is located in AZ.
@A1Ayacht unfortunately the seller is unable to communicate at the moment. The weight is unknown as per the seller.
@GregGarcia54 A video was just added to the listing.
@burnrubr To me, the modern wheels throw off the look and could at least use spacers to push them out to the edges of the body. There's also something odd about the pictures. Not sure if the road the pics were take on is sloped , but the left side looks almost low enough but the right side looks like safari build wheel gap. The left rear wheel is pretty much centered in the wheel arch but the right side looks like it's pushed forward. Might all be optical illusions but definitely looks off.
there's something not right on the stance or just me? otherwise it's a nice summer driver for cheap
