Up for auction is this stealthy Black on Black 2006 Carrera S Cabriolet. What sets this 911 apart from the pack are a few tasteful upgrades that have been installed by the third and current owner. These upgrades include an IDP intake with GT3 throttle body and a custom fitted SOUL exhaust which was fitted at SOUL’s production facility in Pennsylvania (see vehicle's promotional video below). This 911 has traveled 92k miles since new, yet still has the appearance of a much younger example.
The original black paint is in well above average condition. The car shows typical hairline scratches relative to its age and mileage, which are virtually undetectable unless in direct sunlight. The seller has provided paint meter readings which show the paint to be in a tight range, having no evidence of repaint. This 911 includes both summer and winter tires, each that are paired with their own set of OEM wheels. Summer tires have approximately 10K miles of use and winter tires have 4K miles.
The black leather interior is in excellent condition with only minor wear and tear. The owner states that even the knobs on the radio are intact which are usually worn very easily. As to be expected, there are some minor cosmetic flaws, such as a small scratch on the passenger seat and wear on the driver-side door jam caused by contact with seatbelt. Currently installed is a Tranzit Blu Handsfree Bluetooth Phone Integration.
A 3.8 liter flat-six engine producing a healthy 355hp delivers power to the rear wheels via the desirable 6-speed manual transmission. General maintenance has been performed every 6000 miles, including full synthetic oil changes and new filters. The current owner noted that the following items have recently been addressed:
This Cabriolet carried an original MSRP of $97,485 when new in 2006 and included factory options such as: instrument dials in black, heated front seats, wheel caps with colored crest, Sport Chrono Package Plus, Bose high end sound package, remote CD changer (6 Disc), black standard leather, black mats with Porsche lettering, and a black top.
The 997 is the second generation of the water-cooled 911 and is said by many to be the last of the analog Porsche sports cars. The S trim received a larger displacement engine along with larger brakes, red calipers, and a lower ride height.
Included with the sale are 2 keys, original books and leather case, and records from ownership.

@andyawb well sounds great and I can tell they are not marketing focused (in a good way) they can't be in this game.
@akellerdrew thanks! I met the SOUL guys at SEMA years ago. They are engineers, not marketers, and they particularly design systems that will not "drone". It's a nice setup that can be run quietly by closing the valves.
this exhaust is killer. solid video because buyer def wants to hear this!
