We are excited to offer this truly special Porsche 996 Carrera 4 Millennium Edition for auction.  In 2000, Porsche commemorated the new millennium by building a total of 911 examples of this desirable Carrera 4.  The Millennium Edition comes standard with many features unique to itself, unseen on any other edition. This car (#822/911) spent about 30k of its 33k mile lifetime in California. It now resides in New York and is being offered in exceptional condition.

This Millennium Edition 996 is finished in striking Violet Chromaflair, which according to the Porsche brochure “…changes from black to dark green to an elegant shade of violet.” This very unique factory color registers as original under the paint meter and bears minimal road going wear, showing no signs of abuse. This special edition is equipped with aggressive chrome 18” Turbo Twist wheels off of the Turbo model. The dealer states that one wheel shows slight signs of curb rash. This vehicle also comes equipped with a rear wiper and all-in-all, the condition of this Carrera 4 reflects that of a much lower mile example.

Inside of this very limited 996 you will find a luscious full natural brown leather interior with special burr-maple trim. This luxurious factory trim can be found on the steering wheel, handbrake cover, shift knob, and door pulls. This car has been configured with a sunroof and features an Alcantara headliner. Millennium model 996’s come fitted with PCM, a 6-disc changer, and heated seats as well. Below the climate control system and between the heated seat controls sits a numbered plaque to remind the driver that this is no ordinary 996 C4. The dealer would like to point out minor cracking in steering wheel and drivers door handle wood, but claims the interior is otherwise in exceptional condition for a car of this age.

This 996 Carrera 4 is powered by Porsche’s legendary 3.4L flat-six motor producing 296hp and 273lb-ft of torque. It is mated to a highly desirable manual six-speed transmission, allowing the driver to fully experience the performance that this car delivers through its four-wheel drivetrain. The selling dealer just completed the IMS and rear main seal service.

A clean Carfax report indicates regular maintenance has been performed throughout the cars life. The sale will include extensive maintenance records, books, and both keys. Do not miss your opportunity to bid on such a rare piece of Porsche heritage.

The best 996 variation by a country mile. Beautiful limited edition 911. Great color. Future collector for sure.

BaT just posted one with similar mileage... maybe it's a buyer's market. I would love to drive one of these - so much cooler than 40th Sally Ann Edition

If I’m not mistaken out of the 911 units produced, the US market only has a little over 200 cars. They also feature m30 sports suspension, along with a short throw shift . If your into details, this is the car to have. I only saw 1 a few years back at a PCA concours event. It was absolutely stunning. The color , which is exclusive to this car only is unlike any other 996 produced. The Porsche factory has one in their museum, that has to say something. Good luck to all the parties involved.

Any chance there is a second set of wheels for winter use?

No pixs of the under carriage. Can I assume that its clean and rust free?

is this HP the same horsepower as the standard non-Millennium edition? I'd like to see more than PCM, 6-disc and one piece of alcantera for a SE car. Anyone else?
