Up for auction is an extremely rare 1997 993 C2 Cabriolet. Finished in Pastel Yellow, this cabriolet is a rare and stand-out choice from other 993’s on the market. According to Carfax, the first owner had the car in Florida and Texas until it finally found a home with its next long-term owner in Washington in early 2003. It is now being offered by the selling dealer in Florida with 44k miles on the odometer and a clear title.
According to the seller, the Pastel Yellow exterior paint shows all original with the exception of the driver’s fender. As seen in the gallery photos, the car presents very nicely, especially for the age and mileage of this vehicle. This already eye-catching Cabriolet is further enhanced by the rare factory wheel upgrade. The seller notes that other than minimal hairline scratches and a few minor front-end rock chips, the paint is in excellent condition as can be seen in the gallery.
The all-original black leather interior presents as an original honest car with some wear, but nothing that would not be expected of an original car of this period. The seller states that everything is in reasonable working order and that there are no major flaws to speak of.
Powering this 911 is an air-cooled 3.6L flat-six engine delivering 282HP and is connected to a 6-speed manual transmission. The seller states that the car is in excellent running condition and will be sold with records dating back to when the car was just a few years old.
