Up for auction is an extremely rare 1980 911 SC Coupe Weissach Edition. While showing just 9k miles on the odometer and still wearing tires from 1983, this car is a true time capsule and is quite possibly one of the lowest mileage Weissach Editions in circulation. This SC was a winner of the Boca Raton Concours d’Elegance as well as the recipient of an AACA National Champion Award in 2011.
The Platinum Metallic paint is in exceptional condition minus a few minor flaws in the metallic paint which are noted in the gallery. The selling dealer disclosed that European turn signals were added to the front fenders by its first owner, but were later returned to stock by the second owner, resulting in some paintwork to the nose. All panels are original and there is no evidence of this car ever being in an accident.
The Doric Gray leather interior is completely original and in excellent condition, having only normal wear on the seat bolsters. Beautifully contrasting red carpet and red seating accents are present and exclusive to the Weissach Edition. Finding a survivor in this type of condition is truly a rarity and makes this car a very appealing proposition.
Power comes from a numbers-matching fuel-injected 3.0 liter flat-6 engine, connected to a 5-speed manual transaxle with limited slip differential. The seller reports that the odometer was changed in the mid 1980's from the 85mph original, like many other 911's of the period. Because of this, the seller cannot guarantee the exact miles, but states that the underbody condition is that of an extremely low mileage Porsche as seen in the gallery. The selling dealer also states that after performing an inspection and fluid change, this 911 is in excellent running condition.
Being a 1-year-only limited-edition package, the Weissach was named after Porsche’s freshly minted development complex near Stuttgart. Only 400 of these limited edition 911's were imported to the US. It offered special paint, wider wheels and tires, stiffer shocks, larger Type-930 disc brakes, rear whale-tail spoiler, sealed-beam halogen headlamps, power remote mirrors and leather interior trim.
Accompanying the sale of this car are 4 sets of keys,, books (not stamped), and Certificate of Authenticity.

Hi Everyone, I will have the window up in case anyone has any questions, feel free to contact us. GOOD LUCK TO ALL THE BIDDERS!
@Slim_Chance Good morning, I am sorry you had a bad experience with that particular dealer. Hopefully, you can agree that just because a car went through a dealer that doesn't give an accurate representation of the car. Through our description and pictures, we are trying to be as transparent as possible. All the best.

From Schmitt? No thanks.

@lochrie2 Good morning, We do not have documentation of the ODO change as it mentions in the write-up. The condition of the car overall shows the miles especially the cleanliness of the undercarriage.
Is there documentation when the speedometer was changed out? Every car sold in the US between 79 up to 82 had a 85mph speedometer. Should be stamped in the book as well as have a sticker on the driver door and speedometer

To Seller: When did you purchase this car from Daniel Schmitt dealership? I am located in Salmon and may want to stop by and view the car.
@LupoMotors yes that was an error, it has been fixed.
@Luff356 That must be a mistake by P Car. This car has too little of numbers and letters to register with Carfax. Carfax only recognizes Modern car 17 Digit VIN's.
Interesting that description includes Carfax available but after questioned seller replied too many vin letters to obtain Carfax. Believe I know this car. Really sharp but........vehicle details matter.

@Robert718 Hi Robert, thank you. I tell my photo guy not to edit the photos as much as possible but in his white room everything looks really good. This car is so clean!! Your right the video shows just how nice this car is. It's like new!
Compliments on the video. Even though the pics are nice, these professional shots always make the car seem “fake”. This video shows the real life sense of the car and you can see how nice it is. Very well done.
@WSWCo Oh forgot, Carfax only recognizes 17 digit VIN's so there can be no carfax for this car.
@WSWCo Hi, I will pull the carfax now and send it over to Pcar for them to post in the gallery.
It is a two owner car from what we can tell. Whoever wins the car will be the third owner.
Bid in the amount of $15,000
@LupoMotors
Are you selling for the original owner? Curious how many owners. Is the CarFax in the gallery, did I miss it? Thanks.
Hey Guys at the computer today if anyone has any questions.
Thanks!
Someone also changed rear bumperetts to Euro style not original to the car.
