The 964 Speedster won the hearts of Porsche fans around the world when introduced in 1994. Past generations of the Speedster were always beautiful to look at, but this time, the performance lived up to the looks. Porsche built 936 cars of which only 427 were offered for sale in the US. The 964 was the 3rd generation and final air-cooled Speedster that Porsche would ever Produce. This example has been part of a prominent Porsche collection for the last 4 years and has traveled only 80 miles since. The odometer currently reads 15,631 miles which is clearly confirmed by the condition and included CarFax report.
The car offered here is arguably one of the rarest and most collectable 964 Speedsters in existence. This Porsche is known to be 1 of only 2 finished in Ferrari Fly Yellow. The original factory “10L Ferrari Gelb” label is affixed to the body under the bonnet as it left the factory (see photo in gallery). The factory paint is in brand new condition and as indicated by the paint meter reading is all original. For complete disclosure, the bonnet shows a bit higher reading, but even to the trained eye looks all original.
The vehicle comes with the original factory window sticker, showing an MSRP of $73,603. Equipment includes factory Recaro hard back leather seats, power windows, limited slip, original factory radio, PTS paint, and air conditioning. As expected, the black interior is in excellent condition. Porsche included RS style lightweight features to this generation Speedster including RS door panels with door pull straps, back seat delete, and lightweight sport seats.
Power comes from the cars original matching numbers 3.6 liter 6-Cylinder Twin Plug Engine, which produces 247 BHP. The Speedster's low cut windshield, sport seats, and the coveted 6-Speed G50 transmission lets the driver participate in an extraordinary open-air driving experience.
The last air-cooled Speedster is a wonderful car to own. This example is nothing short of a must have for the discerning collector/enthusiast who demands something very special.

Very nice however the info I have shows that 865 speedsters were imported to the US and 521 for the ROW market. Based on vin numbers of others I know of there has to be more than 427 imported but this is the only one in fly yellow I have seen.
Glad to see they optioned the car with silver wheels all yellow would have been a bit much
