Available for auction is a Custom Lime Krate painted by a professional painter to match the vibrant Lime of the early Schwinn Stingray—a color Schwinn never officially offered for the Krate. This unique build features a custom seat, custom 20-inch Schwinn Lime Gripper rear tire, and a 16-inch Schwinn Superior front tire.
It’s assembled with authentic 1969 Krate parts and includes an Atom drum brake up front and a Schwinn Weinmann caliper brake in the rear. The seller describes the bike as being in like-new condition, making it a standout collector's piece with both visual impact and vintage appeal.

@AuthenticMemorabilia the frame was in primered condition so I don’t know. All I started with was a frame in primer and I built it from there

@MVogler so its a creation of our own and not a true OEM Krate is that right?
I have all the Krates Orange, Lemon Peeler, Apple Krate, Pea Picker, Grey Ghost,Cotton Picker and Sunset Orange(73). I just wanted to create a custom Krate with the Flamboyant lime color of the 63-65 Stingrays
I seem to remember Orange Krate , Lemon peeler, and Pea picker. All made in Chicago back then. Banana seats and Ape hangers. Springer fork. Nice job on this one. GL
