Available for auction is a collection of ten vintage Minerva rally timers with rare, vintage Meylan black rally-racing clipboard. Although they are no longer made, Minerva was founded in 1858 and is respected as the finest brand of mechanical stopwatches ever produced. Throughout the brand’s history, Minerva acted as the timekeeper at the Olympics and earned a reputation in precision and accuracy in motorsport, athletics, and horseracing. This collection of Minerva rally timers contains several watches that are highly sought after in the world of rally racing and rally timer collecting.
A) Meylan vintage racing clipboard with three (3) Minerva stopwatches that start/stop in sync with the use of a single activation arm. Fully adjusted. Works flawlessly. Rally clipboard includes 2 clips in stainless steel to hold rally/lap data record. Includes a set of instructions for use. Measures approximately 18” x 13” overall with three (3 ) matched 100-second Minerva rally timers with 30-minute center dials. Lot includes one extra matched 100-second Minerva rally timer with 30-minute center dial. All function perfectly.
B) Set of two (2) Minerva rally timers mounted to aluminum mounting plate that can be used for a desk display or then separately removed for the timers to be mounted directly to the dash. The first timer is a 30-second, 15-minute single-pusher Minerva with alternating black & red numerals. The second timer is a 60-second, 30-minute center dial timer. Measures: 5 ½” x 3” overall.
C) Set of two (2) Minerva Official Rattrapante split-second rally timers equally-matched in very good overall condition. These are vintage working original timepieces in very good condition and very rare. 30-second dials with 15-minute center dials. Red & black numerals. The timers are mounted to a wood & aluminum desk mount that can be separated so that the wooden plate can be mounted to the dash. Measures: 7” x 3 ½” overall with an angled aluminum mount for display.
D) Set of two (2) vintage Minerva 60-second/ 60-minute rally timers with wide/large red minute indicators. Very rare. Fully functional with black numerals. Mounted to a high-density polyethylene mounting plate that can be directly mounted to the dash. One timer is a single-pusher that starts, stops, and resets the timer. The other timer is a dual-pusher model that is started and stopped by the center pusher and reset by the side pusher. Measures: 5” x 2 ¾” x ½”.
