Up for auction is this very special 1988 Porsche 924S. Believed to be one of only two examples ever created, this unique 924S was specially built by Brumos Racing to pay homage to Peter Gregg, a four-time winner of the 24 Hours of Daytona. Equipped with a handful of bespoke design elements, proper Brumos documentation and a few tasteful upgrades, this car represents an excellent opportunity for any enthusiast looking to get their hands on a special piece of Porsche history.
An iconic Brumos build through and through, this example is factory finished in Alpine White with distinctive red and blue livery that runs along both sides of the vehicle. The exterior is stated to be average overall condition with some signs of wear which is outlined in the photo gallery. This car rides on 15” Phone Dial wheels that wear a set of Delta tires that are dated from 2014.
Inside, you will find a tan partial leather interior that shows to be in great condition with only minor wear to the front seats. The seller confirms that the original factory radio and speakers are in good working order and the A/C blows ice-cold. All gauges, electrical components and accessories are reported to be fully functional. A few factory options include:
This 924S retains its original 2.5L four-cylinder engine that is rated at 150HP from the factory. Power is delivered to the rear wheels via a desirable 5-speed manual transmission. The seller states that a $4,700 service was performed by All Euro Car Care out of Jacksonville, FL that included the following maintenance items/replacements:
A few more recent service items include:
This 924 is said to be in excellent running condition.
The sale will include factory books including a manual that was signed by Hurley Haywood, two keys, extensive documentation, service records, and a Certificate of Authenticity. The sale will also include recent CARFAX report that shows an accident-free history with a potential odometer rollback. This is your opportunity to own an iconic piece of Porsche history.

@9146max rephrase... Being sold after someone owned it a year?
@Crash613 I’m a dealer.
Why are you selling it barely a year after purchase?
@9146max thanks for the follow up. GLWA.
@HowS @Dipper17 I’m not aware of any mold or leaks from the hatch. The carpet is deteriorating from sun damage and the top of the rear seat is cracked. The clear coat is pealing in a few places.
@Transcon there are no real pics of the seats especially the driver's side bolster. Not are there photos of the dash which is cracked. The carpet in the back is moldy which you can see all over. Have the leaks from the hatch been fixed? Can we see shots of those places where the seller says the paint is lifting or cracking?
With the likely odometer rollback that occurred in 2001 it would be prudent for PCAR to note that on the mileage in the grey summary box. As it shows now could prove a bit deceptive to unsuspecting buyers
The steering wheel leather and shifter/shifter leather are very nice.
Also, to be clear. This is a driver quality car. Starts, runs, shifts, drives very nice. The paint has clear coat pealing in 3-4 small areas. The car has minor dings and nicks. Overall the paint is just average. Same with the interior, it’s original but has seam tears, leather wear and cracks. The original carpet is also showing wear and sun deterioration. The front floor mats are newer. The dash has a cover on it.
@kirbyrr correct 166,xxx miles. The odometer shows 66,xxx, only 5 digits.
I really like the car, but I believe the odometer has "rolled over" so the mileage is actually at least 166,989. This comment is based on those made during the BAT auction.

This is the same car that was sold on 1/24/19 on BAT for $7,424 in a a "no reserve" action. I see the bad looking sheepskin seat covers are gone. What else has been done since then? I was interested in this car then. Looks like I have another bite at the apple.
Bid in the amount of $4,174
@JNasty The design and performance elements including mono steering wheel, sport springs, koni shocks, upgraded sway bars, numbered dash plaque, Hurley Haywood signed owners manual, Brumos window decal and iconic blue and red Brumos exterior stripes. I added the fire extinguisher. I have the COA. I bought it from a guy in Jacksonville that was quite knowledgeable. I can ask him if it would be ok for you to contact him.
@seller - "this unique 924S was specially built by Brumos Racing to pay homage to Peter Gregg, a four-time winner of the 24 Hours of Daytona. Equipped with a handful of bespoke design elements, proper Brumos documentation and a few tasteful upgrades." I see the plaque and the martini stripes but - please - what EXACTLY was in the 1 of 2 build and the upgrades? I see their service records, but as sold record?
