Available for auction is a BMW E39 M5 wheel art table. The seller states it is a designer commissioned artwork that underwent the process of “action painting”, a type of modern abstract. Created by artist Jackson Pollock, the artist used only OEM specific BMW Motorsport paint with red, blue, and purple pigments on a white background. 
The 4 wooden legs are CNC-machined to imitate the rim’s curvature. An industrial strength steel cable with hidden brackets holds together the assembly. The tempered glass top has an octagon shape and measures 42” across and 19” in height. There is background lighting sourced by a LED strip fed by a rechargeable battery pack. The strip is remote operated to change the 10+ color options. 
The table commemorates BMW’s flagship vehicle that brought fame and timeless design into the automotive scene. The buyer is responsible for shipping, handling, and fees.

Just posted quick a photo with the M5 -s other side wheel which currently sits restored and pretty on my vehicle. Maybe this helps people who are not familiar to recognize this outstanding Style 65 design

Thanks to everyone whos been checking out this unique coffee table/memorabilia. Just wanted to post some illuminated night time photos, with the built in LED strip activated. It’s hidden from sight and removable if desired, but can look very cool as a colorful ambient light.

@Lastsin thank you! There’s been lots of thought built in this project, and automotive paint has been used to avoid cracking and blending of the dripped pigment. I’ll upload some close-up details, as one can truly enjoy the artistical details as you’ll find aome beautyful overlapping contrast in every square inch.

@KeluRO Hi @KeluRO , the wheel used as centerpiece of the table is OEM factory E39 M5 wheel with 8x18 offset. Known as the Style 65 and is a 10 spoke with BMW part# 2228950.

Hello and welcome to the auction! I`d like to take the opportunity to clarify a small error in the description first.
The coloring process was inspired by the "action painting" technique of perhaps one of most celebrated modern artist of our country Jackson Pollock, who ironically and unfortunately passed away in a automobile accident in 1956. That being said, this particular Style 65 BMW rim was painted by the artist/designer who created the coffee table from concept to the finished product.
The wheel came off my currently owned 2000 BMW M5 E39 as in the process of restoring the wheels, after the chemical paint removal process the shop found a micro-crack at the base of one spoke, almost invisible to naked eye, so recommended replacement. There were no curb rashes or any other damage and I had no heart to scrap the wheel.
The fabrication process is well documented from CNC machined wood work to assembly and will provide photos if anyone is interested.
I will closely follow the auction and answer promptly any questions.
Will help with packaging the "stop sign" glass top and whole assembly is shipping is required.
