Based on the road-going Cayman 981 GT4, the 2016 Clubsport version was developed exclusively for racing with various enhancements to both performance and safety. Power is transmitted through a modified 6-speed PDK transmission, featuring steering wheel-mounted shift paddles, a specialized rear-axle locking differential, and an electromechanical steering system. Braking is handled by 380mm steel discs with six-piston front calipers, four-piston rear calipers, adjustable ABS, and an expanded Electronic Stability Programme tailored for racing. Brought to the U.S. from Dubai by the most recent owner approximately three years ago, it competed in the Historic Sportscar Racing (HSR) series for two seasons under Vintage Racing Co. of Alpharetta, Georgia. This Clubsport is now being offered for auction by the selling dealer out of Alabama with approximately 11k miles showing on the odometer.
Factory-finished in White, this GT4 Clubsport has been customized with a removable vinyl wrap in Mobil 1 racing livery and various sponsor decals. Compared to the standard 981 Cayman, the GT4 is equipped with a vented front bumper featuring larger radiator grilles, a lower lip spoiler, side air intake scoops, a rear diffuser, and an enlarged rear wing. Additional racing equipment includes quick-release fasteners for the front and rear hoods. The car rides on staggered 18” forged alloy wheels mounted with Michelin racing slicks, and an additional set of wheels with three sets of tires (including two new sets) is included in the sale. Detailed images are provided in the gallery.
Inside, the driver is positioned in a lightweight racing cockpit equipped with an FIA-welded roll cage, FireSafe FIA electronic fire suppression system, emergency kill switch, carbon fiber Recaro racing bucket seat with Sabelt 6-point harness, Alcantara-wrapped flat-bottom steering wheel with carbon fiber shift paddles, MoTeC digital display, and a carbon fiber switch panel.
Power comes from a 3.8-liter dry-sump flat-six paired with a 6-speed PDK racing transmission and locking differential, delivering 385 HP to the rear wheels for 0-60 acceleration in approximately 3.8 seconds and a top speed over 180 MPH. Factory performance equipment includes Performance Friction (PFC) brakes, an adjustable Bosch 12-step Porsche Motorsport ABS module, 911 GT3 Cup–derived suspension, a 70-liter FT3 fuel cell, and a Krontec air jack system.
This race-prepped GT4 is offered with a bill of sale.
The seller would like you to know: “This is a low-mile GT4 Clubsport ready to race.”

@tomjshore The VIN is correct. Our client only raced the GT4 CS once at the HSR Fall Historics at Road Atlanta in 2024; our client recalls that he witnessed this GT4 CS race at Road Atlanta and Daytona prior to his purchase -- the prior owner spared no expense maintaining this car, it was purchased in tip-top condition and raced once at the cited HSR Fall Historics and our client ceased racing afterwards due to health reason.
@scott40 The transmission was rebuilt under the prior owner from Dubai; was shipped to Germany and rebuilt by ZF -- the flywheel was replaced at this time.
@scott40 Vintage Racing's mechanic confirmed that they run 97/98 octane in all GT4 CS's -- the 106 octane mention by our client was a mistake, he was thinking about his other race car.
@jbishop33 Vintage Racing Co., Alpharetta GA, fully managed and maintained the car, the logbook, track logistics, etc., for our client and the prior owner "turn key walk-up and drive service" -- the logbook will go with the car.

Is the VIN listed the correct #?
I could not find any records from HSR that this vin raced.
Is the PDK original or replaced/rebuilt? That is important to know. Also has the flywheel been replaced- recommended every 5k miles and tied to PDK failure. It’s a known maintenance item for this car. New PDK is $28k from PMNA. Rebuilt is about $15-18k.
@ehd911 These cars run on 93 pump gas. Confirmed by PMNA. I’ve only run 93 in mine for 11k miles.

Are there logbooks or records supporting maintenance and services? What has the typical maintenance/service history been?
@Upshift4 No; no significant body repairs.
@specterrally Normal/excellent compression on all cylinders; it's a high-compression race engine runs on 106 octane -- the gauge bleeds down a bit within seconds while taking the photo, the compression was effectively the same on all cylinders.
Bid in the amount of $13,000
any previous damage?
240-270 on compression check? Do these motors really run that high? If so, does this mean motor needs a rebuild since 2 of them are 240 or less?
I thought numbers for this should be around the 195 mark.
More detailed photos taken during the compression test also uploaded along with the compression test photos.

@Rks05370 Yes; the Race Logic is working. Yes; there is a fuel pump out system. No significant body repairs. No CV boots or coilovers leaks?
The compression test has been posted.
@SlickTop911 We have requested documentation from the prior owner who had the work done; it was 2 years & 2k miles ago. Our client confirmed that the transmission is excellent, he only used "auto" during is ownership and limited use, as he could not shift as fast as the PDK -- confirmed that the car needs nothing and is ready to race.

Do you have any documentation regarding the PDK rebuild? How many miles since? Thanks!
Air jack but no stands? Do you mean air jack wand and no air jack stands?
Race logic system working?
Is there a fuel pump out system?
Any body repairs?
Cv boots and coilovers no leaks?
Look forward to compression test
Thx so much
Thx
@Rks05370 Will get the GT4 CS to our Porsche specialist first of next week and upload a fresh compression test. The transmission was rebuilt under the prior owner from Dubai; was shipped to Germany and rebuilt by ZF. Per our client the bladder and foam look good. Air jacks and 2 racing jugs (no hose) are included; no stands.
Nice looking gt4cs
Compression test? Original trans, fuel bladder and foam? Does it come with air wand, jack stands, fuel jug and fuel pump out hose?
Thx
