Powered by a handcrafted 475-horsepower 6.2-liter V8 engine mated to a 7-speed Speedshift automatic transmission, this 2007 Mercedes-Benz CLK63 AMG Cabriolet is finished in Obsidian Black over Black Nappa leather upholstery. Equipment includes AMG-specific styling, 18” AMG lightweight alloy wheels, active cornering bi-xenon headlamps, dual-zone automatic climate control, burred walnut root interior trim, power and heated front seats, Keyless Go, and much more. Showing approximately 85k miles on the odometer, this CLK63 is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Texas.

Notably, the second-generation CLK (C209) was the last complete vehicle manufactured by Karmann at its Osnabrück factory before closing in 2010. Compared with the standard CLK, the AMG variant features aerodynamically optimized front and rear bumpers, sculpted side skirts, “6.3” and “AMG” badging, polished twin exhaust outlets, silver AMG-branded brake calipers, and staggered 18” AMG lightweight alloy wheels. This example is finished in Obsidian Black (197U) with a matching convertible soft top. The seller notes the right front fender has been refinished and the wheels were refinished to match the exterior. A scratch and a door ding are present on the driver’s door, and detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a CARFAX report showing accident damage in 2007 and 2015.

Inside, the cabin is appointed with Black Nappa leather complemented by burred walnut root trim. Amenities include power-adjustable and heated front seats with memory, a contoured leather-wrapped AMG steering wheel with paddle shifters, an 8k-RPM tachometer, an analog clock, dual-zone automatic climate control, cruise control, a Harman Kardon sound system, and COMAND infotainment with navigation. The seller notes the window regulators have been serviced, and all gauges and accessories are confirmed to be in proper working order.

Power comes from a hand-assembled 6.2-liter M156 V8 engine factory-rated at 475 HP and 465 lb-ft of torque, driving the rear wheels through an AMG Speedshift 7G-Tronic automatic transmission. Braking is handled by multi-piston calipers over cross-drilled and slotted rotors at each corner. The CARFAX report shows 53 service history entries, and no outstanding maintenance items have been reported by the seller.

This sale will include a clean title, owner’s manuals, a toolkit, and an air pump.

The seller would like you to know: “This vehicle is a special edition AMG car, it was loved and cherished for all its life. It’s in pristine condition with up-to-date maintenance. Drives powerfully and smoothly.”

Thanks to everyone who bid on this car. Unfortunately we ended up at RNM, maybe because it’s the Monday at end of the month where everyone is super busy with end of the month’s deadlines and bidding time has slipped away for many potential bidders. Luckily, PCM allows to list cars for the reserve price at the Deal Tank. Anyone is welcome to buy it now at 80% discount from its original MSRP!

@Gtgoff I appreciate the clarification. You can see from the Carfax report that this car has 53 service records and was never short changed. Anyone is welcome to check it out or take it to a professional, I stand behind this car 100%. Bid with confidence! GLWA to all the last minute bidders.

@3PedalKing thanks - not derogatory, just confirming whether the typical M156 stuff is done. Too many cases out there of hydrolocked engines from either failing head bolts or leaking injectors, in addition to the cracking intake manifolds making smog tests impossible to pass in California etc.

I hope that clears anyone’s wondering about the condition of this car.

Furthermore, I had plans to give this car to my daughter as a fun weekend car but her apartment’s shared garage only allows for 1 space and couldn’t get an exception to that rule even with offering to pay rent. However, this vehicle is so good and reliable where I trust it with my baby girl in it!

@Gtgoff While your question seems to be derogatory question to sabotage this auction in the last couple of hours, I will try to answer it in the next comment as much as I can. The subject that you are outlining is $1500-$2000 to fix if they fail. That is no $10,000 “big scary service “ and whoever told you that number is lying to you.

Are the big scary $10k service items done?

    1. Head bolts
    2. Lifters
    3. Cam phasers
    4. Injectors (looks like “fuel system” worked on a lot, but can’t tell if the bad injectors were done?)
    5. Intake manifold
