The second generation of Porsche’s popular mid-engine sports car, the 987 Boxster debuted in 2005 with updated styling, increased power, and innovative technology. This launch-year example comes finished in Arctic Silver Metallic over Black interior upholstery and features a 5-speed manual transmission, 18” Boxster S wheels, Porsche Active Suspension Management, the Bi-Xenon Headlamp Package, heated front seats, automatic climate control, a Bose sound system, and more. Acquired by the seller in 2013 at nearly 54k miles, this meticulously maintained Boxster is now being offered for auction out of Colorado with less than 66k miles showing on the odometer.
Finished in Arctic Silver Metallic with black convertible soft top, this 987 features the optional Bi-Xenon Headlamp Package and 18” Boxster S wheels with colored Porsche-crested caps. Equipment also includes black brake calipers with white Porsche lettering, silver side air intakes, a center-mounted tailpipe, dual roll hoops, a removable cabin wind deflector, and a speed-activated rear spoiler. Inside, the driver is greeted with Black standard leather. A naturally aspirated 2.7-liter flat-six engine delivers up to 240 HP and 199 lb.-ft of torque to the rear wheels by way of a 5-speed manual transmission. Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) was opted for, while standard performance features include Porsche Stability Management (PSM), traction control, 4-wheel vented disc brakes, an Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS), and an Active Brake Differential (ABD). The CARFAX report shows a total of 23 service history entries.

The seller would like you to know: “It has some cool extras like a CD player hidden in the front trunk, as well as an OEM air pump and toolkit. The sound on the stereo automatically adjusts to the noise and speed of the car. The car also features a tail for wind resistance that automatically extends at speeds of 65 to 70 miles per hour. This 2005 Boxster was the year that Porsche redesigned the Boxster to have the same look as the wider body of the Carrera frame when looking from the back. Very sharp looking!”
