Replacing the venerable F355 as Ferrari’s flagship mid-engine sports car in 1999, the 360 Modena features an Alcoa aluminum spaceframe chassis, Pininfarina-designed bodywork, and a 3.6-liter V8 with a flat-plane crankshaft. This 2001 example is finished in Grigio Alloy over blue leather upholstery and factory-optioned with a 6-speed F1 automated sequential transaxle, red brake calipers, a Challenge-style rear grille, power-operated seats, a blue-colored upper dashboard and steering wheel, and more. The car benefits from recent service by Goodkind Designs at nearly $10k, along with an OEM Challenge Stradale TCU upgrade and performance-tuned exhaust. Showing approximately 33k miles on the odometer, this 360 is now being offered for auction out of New York.

The car’s lightweight aluminum bodywork was designed by Pininfarina, featuring distinctive side air intakes and a vented glass engine display cover. Ordered in Grigio Alloy, this example features an optional Challenge-style rear grille and red-painted brake calipers. A set of OEM 18” Challenge Stradale wheels have been mounted with Michelin Pilot Sport tires. Scuderia fender shields and paint protection film have been applied. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.

Inside, the driver is greeted with blue leather upholstery accented with white stitching. Options include power seats, a color-coordinated upper dashboard and steering wheel, and a contrasting black leather roof lining. Accessories include paddle shifters, automatic climate control, power windows, and aluminum pedals. All gauges and electronics are confirmed to be in proper working order, and sticky buttons have been repaired.

Featuring dry-sump lubrication, dual overhead camshafts, five valves per cylinder, and a flat-plane crankshaft, the 3.6-liter Tipo F131 V8 was factory-rated at 395 HP and 275 lb-ft of torque. The rear wheels are driven through a 6-speed F1 automated sequential transaxle and a limited-slip differential, and stopping power comes from cross-drilled disc brakes at each corner. Modifications include an OEM Challenge Stradale TCU upgrade, an OEM performance-tuned exhaust, and carbon fiber intake covers. The seller states a major service performed at nearly $10k at Goodkind Designs in January 2025, at 32,672 miles, included the following:

  • Replaced OEM water pump
  • Timing belt service
  • Replaced cam seals and valve cover gaskets
  • Installed new serpentine belts and spark plugs
  • Replaced pollen, cabin, and oil filters
  • Performed an oil change with 5W-40 full synthetic oil
  • Flushed gearbox fluid and brake fluid
  • Installed upgraded Hill Engineering bearings

This sale will include a clean title.

@movingmetal , Good morning, the PPF was on the car when I bought it in 2016. The folder with all receipts may have the novice, but I can’t say for sure.
If I do get to the NE I’ll look you up, I’d enjoy taking a drive in that car, thanks!

@sdocquir Ironically 1 of the previous owners is in this thread I asked to see if he knows how amazing is that @scottoR

  • movingmetal (seller) 4 days, 9 hoursago

@ScottoR do you know anything about the PPF on the car one of the prospective buyers was asking .. did you apply it when you had it or did you buy it with the PPF on the car ?

  • movingmetal (seller) 4 days, 10 hoursago

@ScottoR wow thats an amazing story if you are ever in the northeast and want to check take it for a spin your welcome to do so while I still have it

  • movingmetal (seller) 4 days, 10 hoursago

@sdocquir not sure when it was applied but its defiantly old and gen 1 PPF in my opinion. However its NOT cracking or peeling anywhere so it held up well all these years . I think if you have a professional removing it they should know how to handle it

  • sdocquir (registered bidder) 5 days, 17 hoursago

Do you know when the ppf was applied ? You mentioned some panels showing some yellowing (I can see that on front right fender, but the others looks okay), but is there any cracking on the film ?
I'm mainly worried about the removal of this old ppf.

    Good afternoon
When I saw this car, I thought it might be the one I owned. Picture 87 shows an expandable brown file with writing on the outside, that’s when I knew it was the car, It’s my handwriting. I bought the car in 2016 from an individual in Florida, my buddy and I flew down there to check it out, and it was in very good condition so I purchased it and we drove the car back to Dallas! We had a ball driving it over 1200 miles back to my home.
I sold the car around 2024. I thoroughly enjoyed it!

  • movingmetal (seller) 2 weeks, 3 daysago

@ScottoR wow that’s amazing. I love that. What year did you own it?

  • ScottoR 2 weeks, 3 daysago

It’s a small world, I owned this car for about 7 years in Texas. It’s a beautiful car and I enjoyed the the time I had with the car.

@CJMotorhead thanks for your input. Everything is based on condition and how much money was put into the cars and how much money needs to be put into them after the sale mine needs nothing. Just needs a new driver

  • movingmetal (seller) 2 weeks, 3 daysago

@Mrosilio The last clutch reading was done Dec or so and was over 90%

  • CJMotorhead (registered bidder) 2 weeks, 3 daysago

Based on the last sale here of the Grigio Alloy F1 coupe with 11k miles that went for <$60k, that $61,000 on this one might be the knockout punch, but I could be wrong. Good luck Luxuryaircrafts.

  • Mrosilio (registered bidder) 2 weeks, 3 daysago

Do you have a reading on the remaining clutch life? Any other maintenance items that will be needed?

    Thanks

less then 24 hours left on this auction who will be the next Manual swap prospect

  • movingmetal (seller) 2 weeks, 4 daysago

@CJMotorhead A lot of the body is fiberglass which paint meter doesnt work on and the a lot of the aluminum has PPF on it. The panels that dont have PPF do NOT seem to be painted the parts that have PPF its hard to say to be honest. The PPF is super old and changed yellowish color on some panels so it throws off a visual perception but if checking the corners its smooth all around

  • CJMotorhead (registered bidder) 2 weeks, 4 daysago

@movingmetal Any paintwork done on the car? Can we get paint meter readings?
