Featuring RS-inspired modifications, this Japanese-market 1992 Porsche 964 Carrera 2 Coupe was acquired by the seller in April 2025 and subsequently underwent various additional upgrades. Factory-specified with a "slick top" sunroof delete, this example is finished in Grand Prix White over Light Grey upholstery and pairs a 5-speed manual transmission with its rebuilt 3.6-liter flat-six engine. The build includes RS-style front air ducts, a GT3 center-mounted exhaust with Fabspeed RSR headers, a SACHS clutch kit and FD Motorsports Golden Rod, a carbon fiber MOMO Prototipo steering wheel, PCCM with Apple CarPlay, lightweight RS-style door panels, Bilstein coilovers, 18” BBS E88 wheels, and more. This tastefully appointed 964 is now being offered for auction out of Florida.
This factory "slick top" 964 Carrera 2 is said to have been previously refinished in its original Grand Prix White. RS-style air ducts replaced the fog lights, and an RS-style rear bumper was installed prior to the seller’s acquisition. Under current ownership, modifications have included deleting the front bumper plate indentation, repairing an imperfection on the trailing edge of the left door, and customizing the rear bumper with a GT3 center-mounted exhaust system paired with Fabspeed RSR headers, yielding approximately 43 lbs. of weight savings. The suspension has been lowered to RS specifications using Bilstein coilovers, while 18” BBS E88 three-piece motorsport wheels were mounted with tires manufactured in 2022 and driven less than 1,000 miles. The factory 16” Cup wheels will accompany the sale. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with an accident-free CARFAX report.
The Light Grey cabin was previously modified with a leather-wrapped carbon fiber MOMO Prototipo steering wheel, an aftermarket shift knob, and RS-style door panels. Recent modifications include an FD Motorsports Golden Rod and a Porsche Classic Communication Management head unit with Bluetooth connectivity and Apple CarPlay. Accessories include 4-way power-adjustable seats, power windows, VDO instrumentation, and black floor mats with white Porsche lettering. The CARFAX report indicates that a Not Actual Mileage title was issued in 2019.
Power comes from an air-cooled 3.6-liter flat-six engine driving the rear wheels through a 5-speed manual transmission. The engine was removed and rebuilt at Gaswerks Garage in 2020, including a new valve cover gasket set, timing chain cover set, O-ring seals, and a new Sachs clutch kit. Additional work at this time consisted of replacing the spark plugs, fuel filter, alternator/fan belts, intake sleeve boots, and air filter, along with an oil change and a new battery. No outstanding maintenance items have been reported, and a collection of documentation is provided in the gallery. Recent maintenance under current ownership has included an oil change and the installation of a new air filter. Additionally, the seller has provided the engine and leak-down test results below:
This sale will include a clean title, a host of documentation, owner’s manuals, a toolkit, the original door cards, and the factory 16” Cup wheels.
The seller would like you to know: “Thanks for taking a look at my 964 auction. This 911 964 Carrera 2 Outlaw RS tribute is an elevated and refined driving experience, a true wolf in sheep’s clothing. Having built and owned several other 964s, this is an incredibly responsive and thrilling drive, and the tasteful updates such as the GT3 center outlet exhaust with Fabspeed RSR headers, and cabin accoutrements such as the Momo Prototipo & Porsche classic radio make for a great combination. I am an industrial designer by trade, and building and restoring air-cooled 911s is my absolute passion. I have all the build invoices over the last 5 months of ownership, as well as a full Excel document detailing services in Japan, and in the US prior to taking ownership.”

Offer in the amount of $120,964
Nice ride but seems like a tall asking price for an engine built to stock specs regardless of row, newer paint, and somewhat recent engine build. Nonetheless, good luck with sale!
nice ride...

Cool looking car! 964 outlaws are a sweet spot.
@jchung0670 I have done quite a few 911. including 964's, a 72 RSR Tribute, and a 79 ST Tribute. You can see my profile here on pcar, most of my builds. This one is most definitely a special car. and absolutely rips. Best of luck to those bidding!!!
i was curious to know if the seller has rebuilt 911s similar to this one for interested customers looking to rebuild a donor 911?
Bid in the amount of $93,500
Awesome seller. Bid with confidence on a solid car, build, and reputation.
What a sexy car
Had the chance to get behind the wheel of this 964, and it was an absolute joy to drive. The balance, steering feel, and raw character remind you why this generation of Porsche is so special. Seeing it in person only made me appreciate the timeless design even more—this car is the perfect blend of classic styling and pure driving experience. Whoever ends up with it is going to be very lucky. Amazing work Modifica Classica !
@modificaclassica thank you! Really awesome example ! And great seller! Someone going to get a really nice sorted car
@Porscheguycali not a concourse car, it is an absolute driver’s car. Having said that, the car has had extensive mechanical restoration with the documented full engine rebuild , paint and body show well, in addition to all the documented regular maintenance both under previous ownership as well as while in my custody. The icing on the cake is the fully smoothed out front bumper, and the rear bumper with the right exhaust outlet smoothed out as well so that the center outlet 997 GT3 exhaust looks right at home. This car is a ripper. Not a show car.
If you watch and listen to the wonderful drive video and don't get excited and smile you aren't a Pcar guy. Well done. What a beautiful job of modding a 964. To me this IS the one. Perfection.
What was the deal with the bondo comment on the bring a trailer listing from before ? Has proper body work been done to fix this or as is since last auction? Beautiful car . Glwa . Was the car hit and reaprayed?
@rrfuen Ruben, always a pleasure driving along with your RSA!!!
@ScottRulo thanks Scott!
Absolutely stunning Porsche 964. The stance, the character... boom, I love it!
I know this car and owner and I can attest that this car just like all his other builds is a top notch built. I was recently at a breakfast drive and I happened to be behind him on my '94 RSA and honestly I couldn't keep up with him. The car looks, sounds and handles beautifully. Whoever buys it will have years of joy ahead. I just hope it stays local!🙏
It’s really a cool car as all the 964 that go under Elie’s (modifica classica) hands. All those signature mods make it unique aesthetically and , for experience, also to drive. This is no exception.
@enrique911 thanks for the kind words! The shift knob is from FD Motorsports fister design with the short shift kit and golden rod. It’s quite the pairing.
@Texman500 no it doesn’t drone, you simply have to drive it like any other 964, the sweet spot is always going to be between 3-5k in any gear. It is absolutely glorious and sings!!! Please watch the full YouTube video, the full melody of the exhaust, headers, and the incredibly well sorted rebuilt flat six are all in full harmony.
@cobalt thanks for chiming in!
Nice example. This car was imported by a friend who is one of the best PCA club racers. I have a bunch of early pics. The car sold on BaT back prior to Covid. This was his street car he never raced this one. The engine rebuild was done by Gaswerks which is a subsidiary of Prestige. IMO it didn't really need it but he wanted it leak free and perfect. They know how to build an engine but it was built to stock specs and I suspect has a bit more power than stock. Possibly 260hp and some additional torque. He had a stock exhaust after the build however. So maybe another 10% with exhaust and tune. So my guess would be 280ish. Which is a nice upgrade. The car was well setup with RS suspension and as stated a non optioned sunroof car. The only cosmetic issues when he got it was the paint. It was several shades of white. No accident damage. I suspect the paint is a nice addition to an excellent example. I supplied the replacement ABS pump for this just days before Gaswerks was forced to shut down during Covid.
I think this is a fine example and a well setup car. I don't know the history after my friend sold it but appears it has been well cared for with some interesting upgrades.
GL one worth considering.
Does the exhaust set up drone?
The cabin accoutrements are great; this 964 has heritage.
Hi absolutely stunning! What brand is shifter?
Bid in the amount of $92,864
Bid in the amount of $25,000
@2mAn yep I have them
Do you have the original cats?
@BigBooter I haven’t dyno’d the car, but it rips in every gear, having built a few 964s, I feels this has way more get up and go then a stock 964, originally factory rated for 250hp. Probably closer to 300hp on the White Wolf.
Bid in the amount of $20,000
This thing looks like an absolute blast! It must sound amazing.... Curious - with engine rebuild and performance parts added - has this car been on a dyno. I'd be curious to see the figures. Absolutely beautiful - I would love to rock this thing in the summer!!!
The is one is a beauty, I had the pleasure of driving it upon completion, and it’s one of the best handling 964s I’ve driven. The engine and gearbox are perfection. Car feels planted and solid. Whoever buys this will love it.
Saw this car 2 on 9/20! Sick build!!
@Mspohn I don't have the original options list, but this 92 964 C2 does not have a limited slip diff.
Added paint meter readings to the gallery.

@m1002b windshield cowling in excellent shape as seen in the image gallery.
There are no cats on this set up with Fabspeed RSR headers and the GT3 exhaust.
@modificaclassica I had a 92 c2 us spec car with similar upgrades. Did the same exhaust and pulled the cats and would not pass. Are the cats on it? Also do you have paint meter readings? Any evidence of rust around the lower front windscreen corners? Thanks
@m1002b wish I could say exactly, I sold a previous 3.8L 964 build to California and it passed smog, not sure if the new owner changed anything, although that car had OEM headers with a Fabspeed RSR dual exhaust.
@Flsupraguy equipped with a Wong chip, and with the GT3 exhaust and Fabspeed RSR headers it absolutely riiiiiiiips.
@Flsupraguy OEM spec, invoices were uploaded to the auction listing from the previous owner’s engine rebuild.
Bid in the amount of $9,641
will this pass CA smog? cats on?
Original Options list? 220?
Thank you. Was the engine built to oem specs or do you think it has added hp?
Just to clarify as some friends asked, this is a Factory Slick Top car.
@Flsupraguy no leaks whatsoever, this 3.6L flat six is solid with a full engine rebuild.
@Flsupraguy yes this was a previous listing in 2019, prior to restoration done on the car.
Are there any oil leaks present?
Is this the same car? https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1992-porsche-carrera-2-9/
Thanks. By heat removed the entire system OR just heatless headers dont connect to oem heat pipes?
@Flsupraguy AC blows ice cold, heat has been removed. No cruise control.
@Flsupraguy Montana title
Is the title a Florida title?
Bid in the amount of $964
Is the heat, ac, and cruise control functional?
I added in final invoice from KMW yesterday showing excellent leak down compression, this thing absolutely rips!!!!! Also, fresh 20/50 valvoline for the next owner.

Just wanted to introduce myself, I'm here to answer everybody's questions to the best of my ability. While I have learned quite a bit about 964s over the last few of them that I've restored, I've also learned that each one feels special in its own way. This car truly delivers in all aspects for me as far as aesthetics, refined drivability, and an amazing emotive experience. From the moment you fire it up, the audible harmony of the GT3 exhaust paired with Fabspeed RSR headers is simply intoxicating. I've taken this 964 on two air-cooled breakfast runs in South Florida, and it delivers. It’s equal parts gentleman and outlaw — and it was built to be driven. Happy bidding!
