Following a 6-year absence, the 912 rejoined Porsche’s model range in 1976 as a new entry-level sports car to replace the 914, featuring the chassis from a contemporary 911 paired with a fuel-injected 2.0-liter flat-four engine. This example is one of approximately 2,092 produced exclusively for the U.S. during a single model year. It was reportedly under the care of its original owner for 46 years before being purchased by the second owner in 2022, who oversaw a major restoration. The car was refinished in White over new tan leather upholstery and features custom tartan cloth seat centers, a Porsche Classic (PCCM) head unit, Boston Acoustics speakers, Bilstein dampers, four-wheel disc brakes, and a 5-speed manual transaxle. Under the care of its third owner, this restored 912E is now being offered for auction out of Arizona.
The exterior was refinished in White during the restoration and includes chrome trim and headlamp bezels, a polished driver’s side mirror, black rubber bumperettes, and 14” Fuchs-style wheels dressed in Hankook Kinergy ST tires. The seller notes that the paint is in excellent overall condition. Detailed images are provided in the gallery.
The cabin has been redone with new tan leather upholstery, matching carpets, and custom tartan cloth seat centers. Accessories include adjustable front bucket seats, three-point front seatbelts, folding rear seatbacks, a black leather three-spoke steering wheel, manual roll-up windows, a heater, analog VDO gauges, and an updated Porsche Classic (PCCM) head unit with navigation.
Up to 86 HP and 98 lb-ft of torque comes from an air-cooled 2.0-liter flat-four engine with Bosch L-Jetronic fuel injection. Power is delivered to the rear wheels through a 5-speed manual transaxle. The car is equipped with four-wheel disc brakes and Bilstein dampers. Service invoices indicate that the ignition switch was replaced by Porsche North Scottsdale in 2023, along with the alternator belt, spark plug wires, and front and rear lid struts.
This sale will include the original radio, PCCM manuals, some service records, and a clean title.

@Climatetech Whatever the agreed upon number would be the price you pay. If you are an Arizona resident or driving the car off our lot then we would collect AZ sales tax and registration. If the car is shipped out of state by a licensed and bonded transport company, then we would not collect any sales tax that would be collected when you title it in your state.
If an Offer is made or Buy Now accepted on a buyers end. Are there additional fees, expense that the buyer will have above and beyond of offer/ Buy it now price with the exception of shipping if necessary?

@PorscheGT3 Yes, this was painted to match the factory but unfortunately, we do not have a COA. This car was purchased by our client at Porsche of North Scottsdale, and he said they were supposed to get him the restoration documents but has reached out several times and has never received anything. We do not have any records or pictures of the restoration. I know that a lot of cars look nice in pictures, but this one is amazing in pics and in person, this was very well done. We have not noticed any leaks, but I always tell people that ask about leaks that all old cars leak. The more you drive them the better most are but again, we have not noticed any on this and it was sitting in the same place for a few days.

Does it leak oil?
Can you provide a picture of the front bonnet with the carpet pulled up/back? Pics around and underneath battery.
How old/new is the battery?
Was the repaint a match to the factory color? And is the interior color a factory match as well? Do you have a COA? Any records or pics of restoration? Was it rotisserie? What are the DOT codes on tires?

Good Luck!! Nice car ! Seen this one about a month ago on BAT.
@nineteeneleven911 Do you have any further specifics on the 5 speed that is in the car currently? I presume it is the altered 915 that came standard, but any specifics would be appreciated! Thanks and GLWA!

@Jetpaul Yes, you can cruise 75-80 MPH no problem.
@mitleider When our client purchased the car they did not receive any off the restoration paperwork. We have experienced no problems with this car and would say that it is well sorted. We have provided a compression test in the gallery.

LOVE the driving video!!! Well done. Shows what a 912 with less than 100HP can do!! At the end you showed the Tach and Speedo, but I’m curious how it’s geared??? In 5th on the interstate what kind of RPM are you seeing at and “Acceptable” cruising speed of say 75-80 “ISH”??

An obviously well loved car, just beautiful. My question is with 160K miles, I'm guessing significant work/maintenance on the drivetrain has been undertaken. Would you please detail the functional condition of the motor and transmission? Any work pending or needed?
