This 1973 Porsche 911 has been converted into a purpose-built race car featuring RSR-style bodywork, Lexan windows, BBS wheels, a custom 3.0-liter flat-six engine with twin-plug ignition, a rebuilt 915 5-speed transmission, a limited-slip differential, Tarett Engineering sway bars, upgraded brakes and suspension, fire suppression, a full roll cage, and much more. Finished in blue with yellow race livery, this lightweight competition 911 was nicknamed “Blue Belle” and was actively campaigned by the current owner at numerous track events over the years. Benefitting from a recent engine rebuild by Mike Bruns of JB Racing, Blue Belle is now offered for auction by the selling dealer in Florida, accompanied by extensive service documentation and SVRA & HSR logbooks.

The exterior has been customized with fiberglass RSR-style front and rear bumpers, a shortened G-body front hood, a 930-style rear whale tail spoiler, and Lexan side and rear windows. Finished in blue with yellow graphics, this example rides on 16” BBS wheels wrapped in Hoosier racing slicks. Other features include yellow-lens headlamps, hood pins, a sunroof delete, rectangular side mirrors, and dual exhaust outlets. Imperfections consistent with track use are noted, and detailed images are provided in the gallery.

The cabin has been stripped for weight savings and modified with OMP Racing bucket seats with 6-point safety harnesses, an OMP Racing three-spoke steering wheel, a custom WEVO shifter assembly, a fire suppression system, a full roll cage, and white-faced instrumentation including a tilted Autogage tachometer.

Power comes from a custom 3.0-liter twin-plug flat-six engine rebuilt and modified by Mike Bruns of JB Racing, producing approximately 290 HP. Completed approximately two running hours ago, the engine features PMO 46 carburetors, twin MSD ignition boxes, 11.5:1 compression, and runs on 110-octane fuel. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a rebuilt 915 5-speed manual transmission paired with a Wavetrac limited-slip differential. The race-prepared suspension incorporates 935-style front suspension components, Tarett Engineering sway bars, Bilstein RSR coilovers, 930 Turbo front brakes, 996 rear brakes, and stainless-steel brake lines.

This race-ready 911 is offered with a bill of sale, a collection of service documentation, and racing logbooks.

The seller would like you to know: “We are honored to represent the seller of this amazing 911 race car named Blue Belle. The car is here on consignment from a retired, well-known international real estate developer. He has been collecting and racing Porsches for decades; however, age has caught up to him. Hence, the relinquishment of Blue Belle. Blue Belle was raced by its seller for many years at various tracks and various track events. The car was gone through and rebuilt for the 2025-2026 season, but as mentioned earlier the seller feels it is safer to quit racing now and just watch from the sidelines. The engine was rebuilt during the end of 2024. It has not been raced since the rebuild...only 2 laps around the track as a shake-down. Blue Belle is completely sorted and ready to race. Blue Belle's build is documented with receipts/manuals in an organized, thick notebook with photos. Only two test laps were performed at Sebring after the rebuild. The car then came here two weeks ago for us to find a suitable buyer.  In summary, we have a fully sorted read-to-race 911. The builder is local - he is well known in the Porsche race community. He is also a race instructor. Serious buyers are welcome to talk with the builder if needed.”

We are representing the seller of this 911 Racer as it's here on consignment. We have sold the seller's Porsche collection...this is the last piece. The sale is due to the seller's health issues. There were no shortcuts in maintaining this racer, and no shortcuts during its build. The seller was an avid 911 race driver for years with several different 911's ~ he was very picky on how the cars were set up perfectly to be competitive. Please ask whatever questions you have, I will supply the answers.
