Introduced as part of the C-series update, the 1970 Porsche 911S boasted an output of 180 HP courtesy of its improved fuel-injected 2.2-liter flat-six engine. Combined with its signature lightweight Fuchs alloy wheels and upgraded braking system, these enhancements elevated the 911S’s standing as the most capable and performance-focused model in the Porsche lineup. This example was originally configured for the U.S. market, equipped with a 5-speed manual transaxle, and factory-finished in Albert Blue over a Black leatherette interior. The car was exported from Oklahoma by a Canadian Porsche collector and fortified with a major engine-out service in 2023. Accompanied by a Porsche Certificate of Authenticity showing matching engine numbers, this 911S Coupe is now being offered for auction out of Quebec.

Compared to the entry-level 911T, the flagship 911S features a lighter aluminum decklid, wider rubber trim moldings, aluminum rocker covers, and anodized gold rear badging. This 911S was previously refinished in its factory-specified color of Albert Blue (1818). Equipment includes chrome headlamp rings, window trim, and bumperettes, rectangular front fog lights, a polished driver’s side mirror, pop-out rear quarter windows, a polished exhaust outlet, and 15” Fuchs light alloy wheels with polished faces. The seller describes the paint as being in excellent overall condition and notes that new Continental tires were mounted in 2023. Detailed images are provided in the gallery.

The cabin is appointed with Black leatherette upholstery featuring basketweave pattern inserts on the seat centers, door panels, and dashboard trim. Accessories include a deeply bolstered driver’s sport seat, a standard passenger bucket seat, three-point seatbelts, a black leather four-spoke steering wheel, manual window cranks, analog VDO gauges, a heater, and a Blaupunkt AM/FM radio. The seller indicates the seat rails have been modified to accommodate a taller driver. All gauges and accessories are said to be fully functional.

Rated at 180 HP and 147 lb-ft of torque, the 911S’s air-cooled 2.2-liter flat-six engine features Bosch fuel injection, a revised camshaft, larger valves, and higher compression than the standard 911T engine. It delivers power to the rear wheels through a 5-speed manual transaxle. Standard equipment for the 911S includes a rear anti-roll bar, Koni shock absorbers, and ventilated disc brakes. An engine-out service was completed by Atelier Targatech in 2023, including a chain tensioner retrofit, new timing guide rails, exhaust valve guides, oil return tubes, valve covers, spark plugs, gaskets, CV boots, belts, and more. A corresponding invoice is provided in the gallery along with images of the engine case stamping and Porsche COA.

This sale will include owner’s manuals, a toolkit, a spare tire, a Porsche Certificate of Authenticity, and a Canadian registration.
The seller would like you to know: “Current offer is the high-end 1970 Porsche 911 S Coupe, in a highly sought-after color, mesmerizing Albert Blue. It delivers 58 more horsepower than the entry-level model, the T, from the same year. This is an ORIGINAL car, never restored, only repainted once with a freshly overhauled engine (year 2023, less than 600 miles ago) on 4 spanking new Continental ProContact TX tires, having just passed a complete inspection with flying colors, guaranteeing you the excellence of this offer. Just like Steve McQueen in the opening scene of the film Le Mans behind the wheels of his 911S (1970), you’ll live the dream, the Analog electrifying performance, and appreciate the melodies from Zuffenhausen’s Symphony from the back. Front seat. First Row. GLWTA.”

Offer in the amount of $150,000
@AlexBert I appreciate your enthusiasm. This car looks great and may be incredible. Both of my unrestored cars had tons of receipts. A 55yr old car is far from a baby and like new. I have stacks of receipts for maintenance, repairs, replacement parts. Things age out. Any aircooled fetching top dollar will, whether it is original or restored. This is a beautiful car though. Maybe I just like more documented history than others.
@blander389 Thanks for Your great POV Point of View.
Keep in mind an ORIGINAL car ( UnRestored ) ( The case here ) can’t have, by definition, tons of receipts to Show. It’s a Baby. It’s Like New!
THEY are ORIGINAL, ONCE!
Offer in the amount of $140,000
@blander389 Thanks for your insightful response. I have noticed that later air cooled cars, 964's and 993's, even G bodied cars seem to be holding values better than F bodies cars. Of course these early cars were carrying a large premium over later models.
@550bryan is it really though. I am seeing more recent air cooled 993s and 964s keep going at higher prices. if you are talking F body/long hood I'm also not sure this is a good barometer. On the other auction site we just saw a '73 E go for 58k more than this S and in July a '70 S in sepia brown went for 208k. What was the difference, imho, this car had MANY unkowns and more of a "take the sellers word for it", which all might be completely true. The two other auctions were restored, which this one isnt, but more so they had tons of receipts and history. Look at the '70 S had 70+ pages in receipts. Alex Bert seems like a nice gent and i understand his comment to me about having 10-15k to the side for any old car like this. I purchased a thoroughly documented '72 and have spent that much or more sorting. I purchased a very well documented single owner 964 and spent 15k sorting little stuff. Both those cars i had way more documented history. This car had too many unkowns because of a lack of documented history for me to get involved. There could easily be way more than 15k needed here or maybe no money if it is as described. If someone is interested hopefully now there is time for a thorough PPI from an air cooled specialist shop. Could be a great car....

BID TO WIN!
@blander389 I'm going to share some wisdom I've gained from 400+ sales made since 2018 on different platforms. I've used them all. I've met everyone from nephews Johnny to several billionaires (real ones). On the Forbes list. The most sensible advice from one of them, Alex: no matter what promises are made, I always set aside $10,000-15,000 for new acquisitions to improve them. Because there will always be improvements to be made. Even on condition 1
Back to this car: a gallery of over 250 photos is available. A decent video. Certificate of Authenticity and invoices available. The car is perfect to my eyes. It won't be perfect for this customer who systematically invests $10-15,000 each time. (He often enjoys polishing / waxing the undercarriage to a brillant Shine).
So: don't buy this car if you're expecting a 2025 model fresh out of Zuffenhausen. It came out 55 years ago! It's not a Bugatti Chiron with 16 radiators to serve. It's a cute little car with an air-cooled engine, that works perfectly.
Much more exciting!
i get its never restored outside of the engine out service, but does that mean no records of rubber suspension bits being replaced, like control arm bushing, spring place bushings, or shock inserts??? These rubber bits will eventually age out. Brake lines? fuel hoses? has any of this been replaced or if someone wants to drive this car regularly they would be looking to do a compete suspension refresh, fuel lines, brake lines, etc? Are there no more records from the past decades for this car. I hate to be cynical but I dont know many "collectors", as this is said to be owned by, that buy these cars with no records. Maybe owner has and can share?
Bid in the amount of $70,000
Impeccable car that deserves all the money. Best of luck!

PS: Good News for the Seat. Original Seat was probably located at the Hangar up north. Verification this weekend ( Sunday ) Stay Tuned.
This is a gorgeous car and Im very tempted. Not sure about importing from Canada to US. I see your description below. Some further questions:
Are there applicable tariffs? If so, how much on top of the purchase price?
Who handles the registration process in the US and what does that look like. Thank you.
@sab2025 Very simple. Both options are Excellent:
1. DIY: Take a 1-way Flight landing @ YUL ( Please involve SPOUSE for a memorable day ) I will scoop You at Arrivals & Bring You to the 💎 ( 5-10 minutes drive ) ( You can hear Boeing & AirBus gliding the ILS for 06R in the Video 🤪 )
Drive or trailer the Car to the border 🛃 ( 45-60
Minutes ) Renting dirt cheap combo From U-Haul) Ford F250 & matching 2 axle Robust Trailer is an option.
Both Forms to show officers : EPA 3520 & H7-S ; And You are All set for the Road trip back Home.
2. Give the Work to a Service. Many buyers are using TFX international. One stop shopping. They take care of the whole process From Start to Finish 🏁 with great mastery : Paperwork & transport. They are not Alone. Reliable Carriers and many others. But i recently received good winds from TFX.
For the Seat part of the question: i Talked to the shop that did the replacement back then. They sold it . Long Gone. Current one is WAY Superior.
Hope it Helps! Any other Question: Please Chime-in
🛎️ ; in service H24 ! 😉
What is the process of importing to US, will you assist in that? Also, any luck with the orig seat?
As someone who recently purchased a beautiful 1982 911SC targa through Alex, I must attest to his creditability as a seller. I had the smoothest transaction I could ask for while buying a car from another country. He has been most helpful in dealing with a difficult motor vehicle department, and has been a pleasure to work with! You can't go wrong with him!

@charliek911 Thanks to have shared this Chapter from memory lane. Absolutely Awesome. 50 years of Porsche Ownership. 🤩 I want to read your Bio!
Just perfect. My first P car, signal green 1970 911 S. Bought from an Air Force jet jock headed to south-east Asia for $7,500, in 1970. In my 50 years as a Porsche customer, that was the best car, ever. This one is also the best and will bring strong money. Will only appreciate in value! Some lucky bidder will have a love affair with this 911. GLWTA.
