Honoring Porsche Design’s 50^th anniversary, Porsche created a special edition 911 based on the Targa 4 GTS. The flagship of the Targa model range, each 911 Edition 50 Years Porsche Design example is appointed with platinum exterior accents, an all-black canvas, various black-finished exterior and interior packages, 20/21” Turbo S wheels in Satin Platinum, a Black leather interior with Slate Grey stitching and checkered Sport-Tex seat centers, and much more. This 2022 example was further optioned with LED-Matrix Design headlights in Black with PDLS+, the Extended Leather Package, the BOSE Surround Sound System, Surround View, Lane Change Assist, Ambient Lighting, and leather backrest shells and inlays for the 18-way Adaptive Sport Seats Plus. One of just 750 examples produced in total, this limited-edition 911 is now being offered for auction out of California with approximately 4k miles showing on the odometer.

Paying tribute to Porsche Design’s first product, the Chronograph 1, the special edition Targa is presented exclusively in black with “PORSCHE DESIGN” logo stripes in Satin Platinum along each side. Exterior details include the SportDesign Package and side skirts in High Gloss Black, mirror lower trim and bases in body color, and rear lid grille inlays finished in Satin Black. The black fabric Targa roof is contrasted by a Targa bar in Satin Platinum, while the rear features a minimalist “911” model designation, a “PORSCHE” logo in Satin Black, and Sport Exhaust tailpipes in Black. Brake calipers in High Gloss Black can be seen through the 20/21” Turbo S wheels in Satin Platinum with colored Porsche crested center caps. Additional options include power-folding exterior mirrors, body-color mirror bases, and LED-Matrix Design headlights in Black with Porsche Dynamic Light System Plus (PDLS+). Front-end paint protection film has been applied, and detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.

The cabin features Black leather with Slate Grey stitching and Black/Cool Grey checkered Sport-Tex seat centers. As standard, a Porsche Design Subsecond clock adorns the dashboard, featuring a red second hand inspired by the 1972 Chronograph I. Additionally, a Slate Grey 12 o’clock marking accents the steering wheel, complemented by matching seatbelts, and “Porsche Design 50th Anniversary” logos can be found on the headrests and brushed aluminum door entry guards. The 18-way Adaptive Sport Seats Plus with the Memory Package were further selected with leather backrest shells and inlays. Additional options include heated and ventilated front seats, a heated GT Sport steering wheel in leather, the Extended Leather Package, BOSE Surround Sound System, Storage Package, Surround View, Lane Change Assist (LCA), Ambient Lighting, and under-door puddle light projectors.

Rated at 473 HP and 420 lb-ft of torque, the 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged flat-six engine drives all four wheels through an 8-speed dual-clutch PDK transmission. Standard performance features include Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM), Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus (PTV+), Sport Exhaust System, Power Steering, and the Sport Chrono Package. The seller states that a Porsche Certified Pre-Owned vehicle warranty remains in effect until June 2028.
