Introduced in 2015 as a high-performance version of the 981 Cayman, the original Porsche Cayman GT4 features a nimble track-oriented chassis, aggressive aerodynamics, and a 6-speed manual transaxle paired with the powerful 3.8-liter flat-six engine of the contemporary 911 Carrera S. This example is finished in Jet Black Metallic over a Black leather interior with Platinum Grey stitching. It comes factory equipped with optional Full Bucket Seats, Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes (PCCB), Sport Chrono Package, Carbon Fiber Interior Package, Light Design Package, bi-xenon headlights in black with PDLS, auto-dimming mirrors, 2-zone automatic climate control, an extended-range fuel tank, and more. Diligently maintained and garage-kept by its current owner for nearly 5 years, this GT4 is now being offered for auction out of California with approximately 26k miles showing on the odometer.

In contrast to a standard 981 Cayman, the GT4 features a unique front end with larger air intakes, a front splitter, prominent side scoops, side skirts, a rear diffuser, and a fixed rear wing. Finished in Jet Black Metallic, this example is also equipped with optional LED headlights in Black, including Porsche Dynamic Light System (PDLS), auto-dimming mirrors, rain-sensing wipers, yellow ceramic brake calipers, and 20" Cayman GT4 wheels in Satin Platinum. Aftermarket RSNV wing risers have been installed. The purpose of this installation is to provide a more aggressive appearance and enhance visibility through the rearview mirror. The full front end is preserved by paint protection film, ceramic window tints have been installed, and the exterior has been treated with ceramic coating. The seller adds that the car has been garage-kept and routinely detailed throughout their ownership. Noted imperfections include minor rock chips on the rear quarter panel. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.

Inside, this GT4 features Black leather and Alcantara upholstery accented by deviated Platinum Grey stitching and optional carbon fiber trim pieces. Other options include Full Bucket Seats, Guards Red seatbelts, door panels in leather and Alcantara, carbon fiber center console trim, the Light Design Package, 2-zone automatic climate control, a Sport Chrono dashboard stopwatch, and a luggage net in the passenger footwell. An aftermarket Sony head unit with Apple CarPlay, Bluetooth, and rearview camera functionality has been installed. The original Porsche CDR 3.1 head unit is included in the sale, although the seller states it has become slow and unreliable with age. Some minor wear is indicated on the seat bolsters.

Derived from the 991 Carrera S, the naturally aspirated 3.8-liter flat-six engine is rated at 385 HP and 309 lb-ft of torque. It drives the rear wheels through a 6-speed manual transaxle and a limited-slip differential. Standard performance features include Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) and a sport exhaust system with dual center-mounted tailpipes in black. This GT4 also features the optional Sport Chrono Package, an extended-range fuel tank, and Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes (PCCB). Routine maintenance has been kept up to date under current ownership, including the last full service in 2024, about 519 miles ago, and the installation of a new battery in April 2025. The seller’s mechanic indicates some scoring on the parking brake rotors due to an improperly calibrated parking brake, which has since been addressed, and the scoring does not affect the performance of the main braking system.

This sale will include owner’s manuals, a window sticker, the original head unit, wing risers, OEM black door pulls, a 1” driver’s seat riser, and a clean title.

The seller would like you to know: “I’ve owned this GT4 since late 2021 and have absolutely adored every moment with it. It’s the second GT4 I’ve owned, which should tell you how much I love this platform — but this one, with carbon ceramics and full buckets, is the dream spec. It’s been babied, mostly used for canyon drives and the occasional date night, always garaged and detailed every two weeks. I even tracked down my original OMGT4 plates from the buyer of my first GT4 just to put them back where they belong. With a baby on the way, practicality wins for now, but this car is truly special — mechanically in great condition, stunning to look at, and one of the last great analog Porsche experiences.”

I want to say this isn’t my first time seeing the omgt4 plates. And I thought DMV says they stay with the person. They don’t go with the car when sold.

@Sylverlee I believe the PPF is around 5 or so years old. It’s in excellent condition as shown in the photos — no peeling, or yellowing anywhere. It’s held up really well. Hope that helps!

Do you know how old the front PPF is?

Hey everyone, welcome to the auction of my 981 GT4!

It took me quite a while to find exactly this spec, and I’ve absolutely loved and adored this car from the moment it landed in my garage. It’s been treated with the utmost care throughout my ownership, and I think the full gallery reflects that. If it goes to a California buyer, I’ll be including the special OMGT4 license plates with the sale. I’ll do my best to stay on top of questions and respond promptly.

Looking forward to seeing where it lands.
