Situated at the top of the Porsche 997.2 Carrera model range, the GTS boasts a revised 408-horsepower 3.8-liter flat-six engine, a Sport Exhaust System, a SportDesign front fascia, side skirts, Alcantara interior upholstery, a SportDesign steering wheel, Sport Seats, and 19” RS Spyder center-lock wheels. One of approximately 436 Carrera 4 GTS Coupes produced for the 2012 model year, this example comes finished in Meteor Grey Metallic over a black interior. Options include a 7-speed PDK transmission, bi-xenon headlights with Porsche Dynamic Light System, the Sport Chrono Package, PASM Sports Suspension, the BOSE Surround Sound System, heated front seats, and more. Showing approximately 39k miles on the odometer, this all-wheel-drive GTS is now being offered for auction by its seller out of New Jersey.
The GTS model can be distinguished from the contemporary 997.2 Carrera S by its revised front fascia with a black lip spoiler, side skirts, and a rear diffuser with quad sport exhaust tips. As an all-wheel drive Carrera 4 version, this GTS also features wider fenders and a unique reflector band spanning between the LED taillights. This example is finished in Meteor Grey Metallic with painted headlight cleaning system covers, bi-xenon headlights with Porsche Dynamic Light System (PDLS), self-dimming mirrors, and an exclusive Aluminum-Look fuel cap. The 19” RS Spyder center-lock wheels were fitted with new tires approximately 3k miles ago. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
Inside, the driver is greeted with Black leather upholstery with Alcantara on the seat centers, door handles, armrests, and headliner. Accessories include heated Sport Seats with exclusive Porsche-crested headrests, an Alcantara-wrapped SportDesign steering wheel with paddle shifters, Aluminum-Look trim pieces, a Sport Chrono stopwatch dial, the BOSE Surround Sound System, a SiriusXM satellite radio tuner, and an extended navigation module for Porsche Communication Management (PCM) 3.0.
The GTS model’s naturally aspirated 3.8-liter flat-six engine features a special resonance intake manifold and a sport exhaust system producing a factory-rated 408 HP, an increase of 23 HP over a contemporary Carrera S model. This example features an optional 7-speed dual-clutch PDK automatic transmission, sending power to all four wheels. The Sport Chrono Package Plus and PASM Sports Suspension (lowered 20mm) were also opted for, while standard equipment includes fixed 4-piston brake calipers, 13” cross-drilled rotors, an Automatic Brake Differential (ABD), and Porsche Stability Management (PSM). The seller adds that a maintenance inspection and brake service were performed at Porsche Nashville, Tennessee, approximately 3k miles ago.
This sale will include a clean title, owner’s manuals, a toolkit, and a spare tire.
The seller would like you to know: “Excellent example of one of the very few 2012 997.2 C4GTS models that arrived in the U.S. market. Highly optioned. I've driven this car recreationally - weekend drives with the wife - and have stored it in my climate-controlled garage since I've owned it. Fully Porsche serviced.

I found some more photos and videos on my phone from when I bought the car last year. I'll post them now.
Figured it out. Just took photos and posted the photos.

I'm trying to figure out how to upload the service record. Standby,
Piggybacking onto the PDK service question, also would like to know the status/history of the AWD components inspection. Looks like Porsche recommends 6-year intervals on both.
Has the PDK been serviced? I looked through the carfax and didnt see it mentioned but perhaps I missed it. Thank you!
Ksdaoski - thanks for the tips on how to inspect from 1,000 miles away. At first I thought you were being harsh, but after further inspecting the engine, I see what you mean by rusting screw heads. Regardless, it’s still a beautiful car.
@joemartin23 ok, understandable. Can you upload pics of the documents you do have, including the maintenance inspection and brake service from 3k miles ago, per the description? I’m definitely an interested buyer, just looking for something concrete on the condition of a car that was likely stored for 4 years.
Bid in the amount of $64,000
I have access only to the records during my ownership. I don’t have the maintenance records under prior ownership.
@joemartin23 Can you give details on what maintenance records you have on the car?

Just a few observations, I agree with the previous poster that the car was driven in Pennsylvania winters by owner 2. Winter tires installed every November and removed every April/May. However, my main concern is a lack of service records (on Carfax) by owner 3 from 11/2020 - 9/2024. Car was driven very little (almost none) and wasn’t serviced by Porsche during this time. Hopefully annual oil changes were documented and can be uploaded.
Will the car come with thorough documentation of all service work done to date?

I disagree with you completely. Let me know if you’d like to get on the phone with my service advisor at Porsche Nashville on Monday morning.
I'm not taking anything personally. I'm 100% interested in the car. This would fit my needs perfectly. I asked about photos on a lift because of rust concerns. Someone else asked about corrosion and other issues. You said you didn't see any rust or corrosion or have concerns. I pointed out the specific issues that prompted the questions. The car is 900 miles from the dealership in Nashville. They are not going to have information on a car they sold previously. They can't observe the car now. again, nothing personal, just trying to do some DD, when the car is 1000 miles from me and I have interest.
Edit. They are not going to provide me info with a car they inspected two years ago
@Ksdaoski You’re saying you want more information to make an informed buying decision. And I’m directing you to that information. Not sure why you’re taking this personally or reacting in an accusatory way. Perhaps move on?
Not sure what vested interest Porsche Nashville has in this auction. Are they representing the car?
If you’re interested in the car, I encourage you to contact Porsche Nashville. You have my complete and unfettered authority to get information from them. I need to rely on the Porsche professionals. They told me the car was in perfect condition. And I believe them.
Tried to edit prior message, but was too late:
Its also an AWD/4 Porsche, that lived in PA and appears to have been driven during the winter months, based on the CarFax mileage reference points, which does create concerns. I say this as someone that lives in WI and knows what salt/brine can do to a car, and its good to be well informed when trying to buy a car that's lived in these conditions.
Photos 44/47/48, the intake manifold bolt heads look rusted/red; the manifold itself looks pitted. Photos 46/48/49, bolt heads left of oil housing look rusted/red. Photo 49, engine mount bolts look rusted/red. Photos 55/57, exhaust muffler bolts look rusted/red. Photos 56/58, engine looks corroded/pitted. Photos 60/61/68/69, lift point looks rusted/red, and/or undertray bolt heads look rusted/red; kind of blurry and the reason I initially asked for photos from a lift.
I'm not seeing rust/corrosion on the body. Just undercarriage and engine bay. And yes, that's not going to stop a dealership from selling CPO. But still something I would want to understand as a potential buyer. Whether its this car, another car from a private party/auction, or a selling Porsche dealership.
No corrosion. I’m not sure what you’re seeing. As I mentioned in the comments, I purchased this car approximately a year and a half ago (purchased from Ferrari Nashville, after it conducted its inspection on it and offered it for sale - if anyone on here knows Ferrari Nashville and its (very particular) owner, they’re not selling a car with corrosion), and before taking delivery I had Ferrari Nashville send the car over to Porsche Nashville for the Porsche certified pre-owned inspection, which as you know is rigorous - note: I couldn’t get the Porsche CPO warranty of course because I didn’t buy it from Porsche, I bought it from Ferrari, and it came back perfectly clean and healthy. This car has a good clean history, maintained by Porsche.
@joemartin23, Joe, aside from getting some undercarriage photos, the engine compartment appears is have a lot of corrosion.
Any thoughts on why and what that is?
Did it get wet somehow, not saying it was in a flood but why would it look like that with only 39K on the speedo.
Thanks.

I don’t have access to a lift. I can try to get some underbody photos for you. Barring that, I need to trust Porsche Nashville and it’s 100+ point check.
few of the hardware nuts/bolts and jacking points looked to have a little rust is why I was asking. Anyway to throw it on a lift for better undercarriage photos?
Bid in the amount of $15,000
When I had the pre-purchase inspection at Porsche Nashville last year (2024), no rust issues were identified or noted. Also, please take a look at the photos.
Looks like it was driven in the winters in Pittsburgh a little, based off of the Carfax and the mileage. How's the rust looking on the bottom?
That may be for the 2012 model year. Not sure about '10 or '11.
From my research, it appears less than 100 manual transmission 997.2 C4GTS cars were made for the US market. No idea why.
Why are most of those .2 4/GTS’s PDK?
Thank you. Now’s your chance!
Beautiful car. Always wanted a 997 gts.

Welcome to the auction. Please message me if you have any questions on the car. It's one of my all-time favorites -- I hate to part with it -- but I'm out of garage space with two cars incoming.
