Coinciding with the SL-Class’s 2008 model year facelift, the high-performance SL63 AMG variant received a new naturally aspirated 6.2-liter V8 engine and a 7-speed AMG Speedshift MCT automatic transmission. This 2009 example is finished in Obsidian Black over a Black leather interior. At an original sticker price of over $176k, it was factory-equipped with the optional P30 Performance Package, bringing an AMG track-tuned Active Body Control suspension, 19” AMG forged wheels, a limited-slip differential, the AMG Compound Braking System, and an AMG Performance steering wheel. The optional P30 Performance Package equips a limited-slip differential, the AMG Compound Braking System, and AMG track-calibrated Active Body Control (ABC) suspension. The seller indicates both batteries were replaced in 2023, and recent maintenance includes rebuilding the left rear damper, new power steering fluid, brake fluid, an oil change, and transmission and differential services.
