Finished in Guards Red over a Cashmere Beige interior, this 1992 Porsche 964 Carrera 2 Coupe was acquired by the seller after its drivetrain was removed for a project about a decade ago, and subsequently fitted with a replacement 993 Carrera engine, rebuilt with a Mahle 3.8-liter piston and cylinder kit. The car has also been modified with a 993-sourced 6-speed manual transaxle, a Cerakoted FVD Brombacher dual exhaust system, Bilstein coilovers, slotted brake rotors, RS-style front brake ducts, a fiberglass ducktail spoiler, a MOMO Prototipo steering wheel, houndstooth cloth seat centers, a Rothsport short shifter, and 18” BBS E88 wheels. Delivered new and registered in the U.S. until 2025, this 3.8-powered 964 is now being offered for auction out of Florida with under 43k miles on the odometer, accompanied by a clean Montana title.
This Carrera 2 is finished in Guards Red and customized with black Porsche script side stripes, RS-style front brake ducts, a fiberglass ducktail spoiler, red brake calipers, and dual exhaust outlets. Other equipment includes aero mirrors, an electric sunroof, a rear window wiper, and 18” BBS E88 wheels with gold-painted centers and polished outer lips. The seller indicates the car was recently polished, and the headlights, taillights, and turn signal lenses have been replaced. The Cashmere Beige interior features custom houndstooth cloth front and rear seat centers, a new MOMO Prototipo steering wheel, Rennline pedal covers, a Rothsport short shifter, and a Continental stereo. Power comes from a replacement M64 flat-six engine that was sourced from a 1995 Porsche 993 Carrera. The engine has been rebuilt with a Mahle 3.8-liter piston and cylinder kit, custom fuel lines, new spark plugs and coils, a new distributor, an RS single-belt pulley, a carbon fiber heater duct, and a Cerakoted FVD Brombacher exhaust system. The rear wheels are driven through a 993-sourced 6-speed manual transaxle with a new clutch and flywheel. The suspension features upgraded Bilstein coilovers, and the brakes include aftermarket slotted rotors.
