Among the final year of the R107 generation Mercedes-Benz SL-Class roadster and the most powerful variant offered in North America, this 1989 Mercedes-Benz 560SL is finished in Signal Red over Palomino leather upholstery. This example is said to have been cared for by two previous owners and to have been garage-stored. It is now being offered for auction by the selling dealer out of Florida with less than 44k miles showing on the odometer.

This R107 was factory specified in Signal Red with a black retractable soft top and a body-color removable hard top. Standard equipment includes chrome bumpers, mirrors, and body moldings, as well as a front air dam, fog lights, an automatic antenna, a dual-tipped muffler, and silver 15” Gullideckel alloy wheels. The seller describes the paint as being in excellent condition; detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.

The cabin is trimmed in Palomino leather with a matching lower dashboard, door panels, and carpets. Appointments include a black four-spoke steering wheel, a wood-trimmed center console, power windows, air conditioning, an analog clock, a locking glovebox, an outside temperature gauge, and a folding front armrest. All gauges, electronics, and accessories are confirmed to be in proper working order.

The fuel-injected 5.6-liter V8 engine delivers up to 227 HP and 287 lb.-ft of torque to the rear wheels through a 4-speed automatic transmission. Standard equipment includes power-assisted four-wheel disc brakes, power steering, double-wishbone front suspension, a diagonal swing axle in the rear, and front & rear stabilizer bars. A total of 9 service history entries are shown on the CARFAX report.

This sale will include a clean title.

The seller would like you to know: “This two-owner car is a real pleasure to drive. Everything works properly, including cold air conditioning and the original radio & power antenna which work fine. The car has always been garaged and the paint is in excellent condition.”
