The seller would like you to know: “The Mercedes-Benz window sticker printout lists factory equipment, colors, options, and a total suggested retail price of $64,770.00. A stamped maintenance logbook, all original books, manuals, keys, tools, spare tire, hard top, and hard top stand, along with several years of service history, are all included in the sale.
The CARFAX report shows no accidents or other damage and lists the registration history back to 11/17/98. The Carfax shows a clerical entry error on 7/11/24. The service advisor entered 24,614 instead of 25,614. All historical records and documents prove that the mileage is original and accurate and support the claim that the entry was an error.
The car presents itself incredibly well with a mirror shine and no dents, dings, or scratches. No curb rash or pitting on the wheels. Interior shows as new. Everything functions properly as when it was new. The car drives as it did when new as well. This 560SL was part of a large collection and was recently purchased for my wife, who drove it approximately 120 total miles over the past several months. She is used to driving a large modern SUV and feels she won’t drive it enough to warrant keeping it. She would love for someone to truly enjoy it and appreciate its stellar condition, which it has been kept in for the past 37 years.”

@Metzmart Not to my knowledge. I have noticed on many 560sl’s and older 911’s the over spray is from the factory. Additionally, there is no visible overspray anywhere else on the car except the usual undercarriage area. You are welcome to inspect the car in person. It presents itself as new from the factory. Thank you for your question.
Welcome to my auction of this absolutely magnificent 1988 Mercedes-Benz 560SL. I purchased this car a few months ago for my wife from a collector in PA. Unfortunately, due to his age and recent health issues he was selling off his museum quality 13 car collection. He maintained his cars with an open checkbook and they were always properly stored in a climate controlled garage while not in use. When I purchased the car it was visibly apparent how much he loved this car and all of the memories he had with it over the many years of ownership. Such a great car enthusiast , and what an exceptional car!
This 1988 560SL is finished in the extremely desirable signal red (with an incredible flawless mirror shine), and is perfectly mated to a stunning palomino leather interior (which presents itself as new and still having that new car leather smell). Everything works on the car as it should, and mechanically the car runs and drives very tight like one would expect from a low mileage well serviced example. This is a very special car that checks all the boxes for the individual seeking a low mileage well maintained 560SL in an extremely desirable color combination.
I’ve noticed a fairly decent amount of R107s (many in the most desirable “red/tan” color combination) on the market recently. The difference in buying a “decent” example and a “great” example is huge!
This car is stunning!
Best of luck!

Has any paint work been done to this car? It appears to have red over spray on suspension components.
