Available for auction is a large portfolio of authentic, vintage Porsche racing posters reflecting three decades of Porsche racing history. The seller states this collection was compiled by a technician who worked at Mattie Imports Porsche/Audi - a now-closed dealership located in southeast Massachusetts. The assortment of posters was displayed on the sales floor to assist in educating buyers about the brand's pedigree and assist in selling cars. Most posters are in good to very good condition with a majority having pinholes in the corners and along the long side of each poster from where they were hung in the dealership. Dimensionally, a large portion measures 30" x 40". This rare package mirrors the best years of Porsche racing history. The buyer is responsible for shipping, handling, and fees.

Hello all and thank you for reviewing this auction for my collection of Porsche racing posters. Through the process I am happy to help with questions - I also have a write up of the story behind several of these historic races/Porsche victories. The stories of Porsche's many, many triumphs in all types of motor racing (factory sponsored F1 to privateer rallye) would make a great book.
Google is a good resource for tracking down the significance of many of these posters and the races/series that they depict.
Finally I would just say that in person these posters are stunning - their size (they're big), their vintage colors and printing, the heavy printer stock and the diversity of cars and races depicted speak to a time that is long since past. Some would say these were the days of true motor racing - when it was loud, smelly and DANGEROUS.
