Available for auction is a handcrafted wooden model Riva Aquarama, recreated following the imagery of the iconic Lamborghini Riva Aquarama. Every component of this model has been handcrafted and its exterior boasts a smooth finish, skillfully sealed with a protective varnish and micro-sanded. The model features brass and stainless-steel fittings throughout, with not a single piece of plastic used in its body. In addition, the seat is upholstered with leather.

In production from 1962 to 1996, the Riva Aquarama was the most famous of Carlo Riva’s luxury designs and has the reputation of the Ferrari of the boat world. It takes its name from its wraparound windscreen, which is reminiscent of the Cinerama film format that was popular in the 1960s. A total of 769 boats were built with a long list of influential owners such as Peter Sellers, Prince Rainier of Monaco, and Ferruccio Lamborghini among many others.

The seller states this model is NOS and has been kept in its original box for the entirety of its life. The model measures 23" x 7.1" x 6.5" and truly captures the essence and grandeur of the Lamborghini Riva Aquarama. Don’t miss your opportunity to own a piece of Lamborghini history as this item would make an incredible addition to any collection. The buyer is responsible for shipping, handling, and transactional fees.

    @fjthomas427 Hi,
    There is no additional charge for "handling" or "transactional" fees. Only thing the buyer is responsible for is shipping, which varies depending where the winner is located... :)

  • fjthomas427 (registered bidder) 10 months, 3 weeksago

    It is noted that additional to the bid price are adders such as handling, shipping and 'transactional'. Please provide an estimate of those fee's.....either in absolute U.S. Dollars or as a percentage of the final bid price. Thank you

    @DolceClassico: Thanks for the info. It would certainly add to the value to know the artisan who created this, but it sounds like you have all of the information presented herein. Your grandfather must have been quite a character!

    @ronn356 Hi all,
    Thank you for your most recent bids. My grandfather was a collector of all Italian automobilia and the time has come to find these pieces a new home. He travelled every year to Italy for Ferragosto (2 week vacation at the end of August in Italy) and often came back with vintage Ferrari, Lamborghini, and Bugatti pieces to add to his collection. As for the packaging, it has been untouched since he brought it back from Italy (in a cardboard box, wrapped in a protective film) and only put it on display for a short amount of time. I am uncertain of who created it, but he was a lover of the fine arts and was well connected with Italian artisans and told me it was handmade from real wood and metal trimmings. Hope that helps! Grazie e buona fortuna!
