Available for auction is a 1951 Indianapolis Ferrari American Retro Toy Co. pedal car, originally purchased from the America on Wheels Museum in Allentown, PA. This meticulously crafted piece pays tribute to the only Ferrari ever raced at the Indianapolis 500, driven by Alberto Ascari in 1952.
Although Ascari did not finish the race, he secured Ferrari’s first two World Championships in the same era. The stamped steel body is wrapped in white with red wheels, faithfully replicating the original race car, and features a period-correct cloth seat. Chrome accents enhance its authentic look, and the car remains in excellent condition with only a few small dents, as pictured.
A true collector’s piece, the original car can be seen at the Louwman Museum in Holland. The buyer is responsible for shipping, shipping insurance, handling, and transactional fees. PCARMARKET is not responsible for anything lost or damaged during shipping.

I was just informed by PCM that the question that did not appear on the listing was about packing and shipping. The car will be packed by the UPS store and shipped by UPS ground insured. The store does an excellant job and I have never had a problem.
As the auction for this great pedal car comes to a close I would like to thank all the bidders and watchers for their interest. This recreation of a great peice of both Ferrari and Indianapolis history would be a memorable showpiece in any colection. Let me warn you that if you going to purchase it for a child all the other fathers will hate you for setting the bar so high.
The car has a low reserve but in the event it does not sell it has been approved by Mecum as a featured piece at their sale on Indianapolis Race Weekend.
@Tgilbert The car measures 50lx26wx23h
What are the dimensions and the weight of the car? is there any crate on hand for shipping?
