Available for auction is a remarkable collection of 35 Alfa Romeo factory blueprints, spanning multiple decades and showcasing numerous models, along with nine Alfa Romeo archive photos. The seller states these blueprints originated from a long-term ex-Alfa employee who preserved them in his private collection before passing them down to the seller’s grandfather.

Notably, many of these documents are linked to Luigi Fusi, who joined Alfa Romeo in 1920 as an archivist and later became Head of Control Drawings, overseeing the redrawing and preservation of pre-war blueprints damaged during WWII. Fusi, a renowned Alfa historian and author, later curated the marque’s Hall of Fame, and several of these blueprints bear his name.

The seller states the collection includes original projects reproduced on tracing paper, three paper-printed blueprints, and one handmade master original dated February 12, 1920, detailing the shift gear for the Vettura da Corsa Serie E Sport. A number of the documents feature a red “Richiesto Da Dipre” stamp, indicating they were requested by Alfa Romeo’s special projects and experiences division, possibly for developmental research.

With most factory documents believed to have been destroyed following Fiat’s takeover in the mid-1980s, these surviving blueprints are an exceptionally rare and sought-after piece of Italian motoring history.
