We are pleased to present this 2011 BMW E90 M3 CRT finished in Frozen Polar Silver Metallic over a Black Novillo and Sakhir Orange leather interior. The E90 CRT (Carbon Racing Technology) was a special edition released by BMW using lightweight carbon fiber sourced from BMWs new production facility built for the i3 and i8 models. The CRT uses carbon fiber for the seats, hood, and aerodynamics while offering a 36 HP increase over the standard E90 M3 in addition to factory adjustable KW coilovers and a titanium exhaust system. One of only 67 examples produced for the European market, this CRT is said to have spent time in Italy before being imported to the U.S. under the Show and Display exemption and subsequently federalized by JK Technologies of Baltimore, Maryland in August of 2021. Now showing just over 700 miles on the odometer, this extremely rare and highly collectible M3 CRT is being offered for auction by its seller out of New York.
The E90 CRT was offered in Individual Frozen Polar Silver Metallic (W73) paint with Melbourne Red (A75) accents on the hood air intakes, side vents, front lip, and rear spoiler. Other equipment includes matte black kidney grilles, black brake calipers, a model-specific carbon fiber front splitter and decklid wing, and matte black 19” forged Style 359 wheels currently dressed in Michelin Pilot Sport tires. Detailed images are provided in the gallery.
The interior is accented by Titan Shadow trim and features carbon-fiber bucket seats in Black Novillo leather with Sakhir Orange inserts and contrast stitching. The Alcantara-wrapped multi-function steering wheel fronts European-market instrumentation displaying speed in KM/H. Standard amenities include rear Park Distance Control sensors, BMW Individual High-End audio system, automatic climate control, BMW iDrive with navigation, automatic adaptive bi-xenon headlights with washers, and cruise control.
The M3 CRT is powered by the same S65 V8 as the E92 M3 GTS, rated at 450 HP and 325 lb.-ft of torque using a larger displacement, lightweight crankcase, and an optimized wet sump oil system. The rear wheels are driven through a 7-speed DCT dual-clutch automatic transmission and a limited-slip differential. The CRT also received factory stainless steel brake lines, adjustable KW coilovers, reinforced subframes, and a titanium exhaust system. The seller notes the replacement of fluids was completed in November 2020.
This sale will include NHTSA paperwork, some sales literature, and the CRT specialized tool kit.

@broughtagarage those are reflections on the rockers, we will try and post additional photos . As far as the crease, it is in the plastic bumper. It does appear to be magnified in that picture of wheel then it truly is in person.
@racer355 is that a dent in the right front fender in front of the wheel? Also, is there any paint damage on the rockers, or is that simply a reflection off the asphalt?

It’s worth noting that the CRT didn’t just receive black-colored calipers and upgraded brake lines, but the calipers, pads, and rotors are upgraded from the standard E90 M3. They are the same Brembo-sourced units from the E92 M3 GTS, and represent a significant upgrade from standard car. In fact, the front wheels have 10mm factory spacers to account for the extra room that the larger Brembo calipers need, and the rears are now fixed as opposed to floating found on the standard car.

M3 day on PCar!
@flatplanecrank Good Morning. the BaT auction was a very somber day and given the death of Eric Keller, a gentleman and BMW enthusiast with the absolute best of them. He was the last bid and respectfully, I never checked the auction again that day. RIP Eric.

@jjjjound if this reminded you of the car that was previously listed on BaT and Collecting Cars, it is indeed the same car

@racer355 I was not aware there were two in the states. How cool. As someone who has owned many E36 M3s, E46 M3s, E90 & E92 M3s, etc. this is certinaly the penultimate BMW...perhaps only behind an E30 M3 Evo 2. Looking forward to seeing where this auction goes!
@jjjjound good evening. Do you know this car and history? It has not bounced around anywhere, maybe you are thinking about the one on youtube and in California. This CRT was owned by a well-known collector in the UK, he was moving to the USA, but alas, the Covid era. He therefore, spent an enormous amount of money to import and federalize for Show and Display status, its acceptance due to its being extremely rare and manufactured in exceptionally limited quantity. The previous owner is a gentleman and friend, the CRT was purchased by me and here we are. So, it has bounced nowhere. :) it is about as new and one will get. Being 1 of only 67 manufactured for the world, my personal feeling is that the CRT is one of those BMW’s that will in the future be within every BMW coffee table book. It is one of the most limited models BMW has every produced. TP
Had to beat Phillip.
Cool car. Has bounced around a lot since being imported.
