Designed by Giorgetto Giugiaro in 1975, the Lotus Esprit served as the brand's flagship mid-engine sports car, evolving through several generations and culminating in the Series 4 (S4) model, produced from 1994 to 2004. This 1994 example comes finished in Solid Black over Raven leather upholstery and equips a turbocharged 2.2-liter inline-four engine paired with a 5-speed manual transaxle. Initially delivered at Swift Autoworld North in Sacramento, California, the car then joined a private collection in Germany before being acquired by the selling dealer in 2023. Showing just 445 miles on the odometer, this Esprit is now being offered for auction out of Florida with a Lotus Certificate of Vehicle Provenance.
The Esprit’s original Giugiaro design was revised by Peter Stevens in 1988 and updated by Julian Thompson in 1994 for the final Series 4 (S4) version. Compared to its predecessor, the S4 had distinctive bumpers, side skirts, valence panels, and a smaller rear spoiler mounted midway over the decklid. This example is finished in Solid Black (B02) and rides on polished 17” OZ Racing five-spoke alloy wheels wrapped in Goodyear Eagle GS-A tires. Other equipment includes pop-up headlamps, integrated fog lights, heated and power-adjustable mirrors, Brembo-branded brake calipers, a polished exhaust outlet, and a pop-up sunroof panel. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
Inside, the driver is greeted with Raven leather upholstery spanning the bucket seats, center console, door panels, and dashboard, contrasted with grey carpeting below. Accessories include a leather-wrapped four-spoke steering wheel, power windows and door locks, air conditioning, analog VDO gauges, a digital clock, and a JVC AM/FM/cassette stereo. Options include a remote-stacked CD player and a factory anti-theft system.
Rated at 264 HP, the mid-mounted turbocharged 2.2-liter inline-four engine sends power to the rear wheels through a 5-speed manual transaxle. The car features a fully independent suspension system, and stopping power is provided by four-wheel anti-lock disc brakes. The seller notes that in June 2024, the timing belt, tensioners, and pulleys were replaced, and upgraded gates were installed. The battery, air filter, spark plugs, and accessory belts were also replaced at the time, and an oil change, coolant flush, and brake fluid flush were performed.
This sale will include a clean title, a Certificate of Origin, a window sticker, a Lotus Certificate of Vehicle Provenance, and a recent service record.

Good Morning PCar Market Community….
It is great to see all the positive comments. Being in business since 1986 and seeing many timeless classics come and go I can testify that this is the newest 1994 Lotus Esprit in existence.
There was not expenses spared in keeping this car looking like it did in 1994. Truly a one-of-a-kind example.
If anyone needs more pictures or any information please let me know.

I owned one of these as my daily driver when I was in residency. IDK about any of you, but this car would not have 445 miles on it by December.
