We would like to present up for auction this Hand-Painted 356. This 22" x 30" piece captures the Porsche 356 as the artist viewed it in a beautiful and unique composition while in Monterey California during the iconic "Car Week." This piece was completed by celebrated and talented Porsche artist, Bruce Goldsmith.
The subject car, a Porsche 356, is car that has a history dating back to the late 1940s. The first example of this highly collectible sports car was made in 1948-1949 by the German automaker Porsche Konstruktionen. The original 356 was designed by Ferry Porsche, the son of the founder of the Porsche company, and co-founder of the Austrian manufacturing plant. It was designed with a 4 cylinder engine, located in the rear and air cooled in rear wheel drive.
This stunning piece was hand painted using Gouache on 22"x30" Arches 340GSM hot press 100% rag paper. This artwork is being auctioned unframed.
Bruce Goldsmith, the artist – “Car designers like Franco Scaglione, Harley Earl, Batista Pininfarina, Ferdinand Porsche and Max Hoffman created some of finest pieces of rolling art ever produced.
