Completed in 2003, this Factory Five Mk2 Roadster is finished in yellow over a black interior and features a fuel-injected 347ci stroker V8 paired with a 5-speed manual transmission. The car is equipped with dual roll hoops, side-exit exhaust pipes, long-tube headers, MSD ignition, a Griffin aluminum radiator, a Le Mans-style fuel filler, 15” Hallibrand-style wheels, leather bucket seats, a wood-trimmed steering wheel, a Hurst shifter knob, independent front suspension, and four-wheel disc brakes. This Factory Five Mk2 Roadster is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Georgia accompanied by a North Carolina title for a 1966 Ford.
The Shelby Cobra-style fiberglass bodywork is finished in yellow with black racing stripes and features chrome bumperettes, a vented hood, front fender vents, dual roll hoops, and side-exit exhaust pipes. Other equipment includes a bullet-style driver-side mirror, center-mounted fog lights, hood pins, windshield wipers, a removable black soft top, side curtains, a Le Mans-style fuel filler, red brake calipers, and 15” Hallibrand-style wheels. The car rides on Mickey Thompson ET Street tires measuring 235/60 in front and 275/50 at the rear. The seller notes paint chips on the driver’s door and rocker panel above the exhaust pipe.
The black interior includes low-back leather bucket seats, Beard racing harnesses, a wood-rimmed three-spoke steering wheel, AC pedal covers, a Hurst shift knob, a dashboard-mounted rearview mirror, a fire extinguisher, and a heater. Signs of wear are present on the driver’s seat and passenger-side inner door pocket.
Power comes from a fuel-injected 347ci stroker V8 with long-tube headers, MSD ignition, and a Griffin aluminum radiator. A 5-speed manual transmission delivers power to the wheels through an 8.8” rear axle. The car is equipped with four-wheel disc brakes and independent front suspension which was recently serviced with new ball joints, wheel bearings, and outer tie rods.
This sale will include a North Carolina title for a 1966 Ford with a “reconstructed” brand and an Affidavit of Correction for an incorrect delivery date on the title.

Curious : what is the situation in picture 172… looks like duct tape around the pipe?
To clarify about the "Reconstructed" brand on the title, this is NOT the same as a Rebuilt/Salvage title. Please see photos 175-176 in the photo gallery for more detail. In North Carolina, a Reconstructed title simply means the vehicle was built with a combination of new and used parts.....in this case, the new parts from the Factory Five kit, plus used parts from the donor Mustang. Apparently, North Carolina titles all Factory Five and other kit/replicas as Reconstructed.
Hello all, welcome to the auction of this super fun Factory Five Mk2 Cobra. A little bit about myself.....I own a small dealership, Texas Motor Works. We specialize primarily in Porsches, plus other interesting cars I happen to find. This one definitely fits into that “other interesting car” category.
I bought this Cobra in May 2024, as I had always been intrigued by these and wanted to experience one. I’ve had fun with it, and brought it to Georgia when I moved here last summer to escape the Texas heat. It’s been very reliable in the time I’ve had it and has never failed to start right up whenever I wanted to take it out for a run. Now it’s time for someone else to have fun with this Cobra.
Happy bidding!
