Up for auction is this 2010 Porsche 997.2 Carrera S. This example has been driven only 27k miles and features a clean bill of health along with a powerful flat-six engine. This Carrera S was delivered new to Beverly Hills Porsche and for the last year, has resided with its current owner in Florida.
The Arctic Silver Metallic exterior is stated to be in excellent condition with only one minute scratch on the rear fender which is outlined in the photo gallery. This Carrera S features a set of 19-inch Carrera S II wheels, which are wrapped in brand-new Bridgestone Potenza tires and stand in front of contrasting Red brake calipers.
The Carrera is finished in a black full leather interior that features a sport steering wheel with shift paddles, heated electric seats, and Bluetooth capability. All functions and electronics are said to be in working order aside from the "radio tuner" button. The complete list of options on this distinct Carrera S is the following:
Power comes from a 3.8L flat-six engine that is rated at 385 HP and 310 lb-ft of torque from the factory. This power is transferred to the rear wheels by a quick shifting 7-Speed PDK gearbox, which allows the Carrera S to rocket to 60mph in approximately 4 seconds. Throughout its life, this Carrera S received regular services and has recently received a fluid and filter change in November of 2019.
This well-maintained Carrera S will include original books and one key. This is the perfect opportunity to get behind the wheel of a brilliantly sorted 2010 Carrera S.

@az911 - that's a great question and I never thought about it until you asked it. I went and looked real quick and there is small silver box on the parcel shelf on the drivers side rear right next to the vent on the side at the rear of the parcel shelf. It seems that is where the sound come from. I don't think I can get a picture posted before the auction is over, but I hope you will trust me in saying that it is a clean installation on the only thing you see is the silver box. I never even noticed it until just now. It's tucked into the corner nice and neat.
@Kinnebrew Thanks for the reply. Do you know if the aftermarket parking sensors (wiring and audio) are run through an additional speaker that was installed in the car or have the new sensors been wired into the original factory audio system. (Trying to determine if the factory wiring harness/audio system has been tampered with for the purpose of accommodating the aftermarket parking sensor system.)
@az911 - I do believe they are aftermarket sensors. While they do not display on the PCM, they do provide a warning tone in the cabin that increases with intensity as you approach an object.
Seller, can you confirm whether the ultrasonic parking sensors on the rear bumper are factory or aftermarket? I've only seen two other 997.2s on the market in model years 2009-2011 with parking sensors and both of those cars have sensors that are flush with the rear bumper. Difficult to tell from the pics but these sensors seem to protrude from the rear bumper. Thank you.

Paint meter readings have been added to the photo gallery.
@az911 - paint meter readings were 4 mil for all metal panels - which is factory. Pictures for verification have been uploaded and are awaiting addition to the listing by PCarMarket.
@az911 - I have no record of the 30k miles service and/or spark plugs being changed. Paint meter readings will be coming tomorrow. Brakes have been serviced twice by Porsche dealer with the fluid being flushed on both occasions. No record of pad change, but I would imagine they have been at least once, they look to have plenty of life left. I would imagine the rotors are original.
Bid in the amount of $37,000
Has the six year/30K service been completed with new spark plugs/etc? Any prior paintwork on the car and/or paint meter readings? Original brakes? Thank you.
@Love2bugs - I completely agree. The 997.2 is the peak of the watercooled cars. With the PDK, the 997.2 is the best of the "If I only had one car" cars. It's delightful to live with every day and still crushes the back roads without being "overly fast" - if you know what I mean. I would definitely keep this one except for the fact that I recently bought a 964 Targa also.
Hello Fellow Porscheophiles:
The 2010,2011 &2012 Carrrera S models are the best 911’s ever made
I have the last 997 produced for the
US market. These cars are the lowest
maintenance Porsches made and are
extremely reliable. These cars out handle the 991’s as well as the 992’s
From the 991’s forward these cars are
grand touring cars not sports cars.
The car that took the 911’s place as the brands sports car is from the 2013 Cayman forward.
Best to all
