The Cross Turismo is so gorgeous, so exotic looking. A beautiful unicorn on today’s roads. If I were in the market for an EV, this would be the only one on my list (if only I could afford it)!

    Cont from last post.
However, compared to the average in the EV sector, the Porsche Taycan has the best three-year depreciation. Its 38.6 percent depreciation puts it ahead of the Tesla Model 3, the small Mini Electric hatch, the now-discontinued Hyundai Ioniq Electric, and the pioneering Tesla Model S. The Porsche Taycan and the other electric cars on this list have been on sale since the 2020 model year, which enables iSeeCars to have solid data when it comes to the resale value of these cars.

Just saw this on Taycan forum,
The Electric Car That Offers The Best Resale Value After 3 Years

So in Jan during the polar vortex when it was 5 degrees, I picked up the car in NJ and drove to Denver, Colorado. I was stopping every 150 miles to charge. I was increasing in altitude (5 days starting at sea level and going to up 5,280 feet) and highway speeds.

Now I'm getting almost 200 miles on each charge. Weather ranges from just below freezing to 50 degrees. I'm traveling about 1,000 miles this trip and range from highway speed to much lower. I'll be going up in altitude and down again: starting to 5,280 feet over an 10,000+ mountain pass down and up again, then back to 5,280.) this guy drove the taycan in 8 inches of snow thru Utah and said the car was amazing in how it handled using Blizzack tires.

  • Taycanbarry (seller) 1 month, 1 weekago

think in the lower 200 -230 but check taycan forum or ask the internet. I do not use my car in winter do not want any salt or chips on it.

Yes all recalls have been done yes still waiting for battery recall until Porsche is ready , read battery recall will be done 1st qtr 2025.. thanks for you comments. Yes I agree this is a great car and some of the comments about this car are not warranted. All car companies have lemons and growing pains when introducing a new model . Bottom line I like this car more than a 911.

  • RASno7 (registered bidder) 1 month, 2 weeksago

@seller Have you taken the car in for the recall? or had other recalls addressed? I have a 2023 Taycan CT. I got the same notification you probably did and there were, I believe, 3 or 4 recalls - mostly software but one for the brake lines. The battery cell replacement, if required, is early this year - they don't currently have the parts. But you'll get a separate notice about that when it's ready. The only reason I ask about the other recalls (to help the community here) is the dealer will do a test on your battery to understand the likelihood of your car needing the cell(s) replacement. Mine had the test and did not show signs of the short circuit issue. These are excellent cars and I love mine as well. One thing to share with the community - Taycans have some of the fastest charging protocols in the EV market. I've never spent more than 30 minutes at a charger. And I assume the remaining free charging at EA stations transfers to the new owner - not to mention free charging at Porsche dealers. Sorry to hear about your reasons for selling. GLWTA

@artichoke we have medical reasons, my wife has Parkinson and is not easy for her to get in the car. Only reason I am selling this car, other than that would never sell this car. The car is as good or better than showroom condition and works perfectly. you still have a full 4 yr warranty on this car. Like you bot a new car for much less than a new 2025 cost which you probably know.

  • Taycanbarry (seller) 1 month, 2 weeksago

@914-FAN The recall will prob not have to change the battery if they do it would probably be one cell or two . But my guess nothing will have to be done on most cars. I charge my car to 100 percent and never had any problem. Porsche is just making sure there is not any problem with any car . But I believe they had some reports of a few cars that had a problem. I believe this is not a big deal. If they replace any battery it would be the same one not the 2025 one. I have a full 4 yr warranty on my car and battery is 8 years 100000 miles. For me not a problem to worry about. I just listed it to be upfront on everything about the car. This is the best car I have ever owned . Medical reason in the family only reason am selling the car. Just not using the car .Any more questions just ask . Thanks

  • 914-FAN (registered bidder) 1 month, 2 weeksago

Do you know if the battery recall is a full replacement with the new [2025] battery chemistry?
What warranties are left? Any CPO?
    Thank you for your response.

  • artichoke (registered bidder) 1 month, 2 weeksago

Why are you selling it after only 1 years and 5k miles?

  • Taycanbarry (seller) 1 month, 2 weeksago

    @914-FAN Warranty is 8 yr, 100000 miles
    Recall
Porsche has issued a new recall for the Taycan due to a potential battery short circuit.
Owners are advised to charge their vehicles only up to 80% to minimize the risk of fire.
This potential issue affects a total of 27,720 units of the 2020-2024MY Porsche Taycans.
Porsche is recalling a total of 27,720 units of the 2020-2024MY Taycan due to a potential short circuit in the battery modules. In the meantime, some owners will be advised to limit their EV’s battery charge to a modest 80 percent until the repair is finally sorted—though that fix isn’t expected to arrive until the first quarter of 2025.

  • 914-FAN (registered bidder) 1 month, 2 weeksago

Nice build. What is the battery recall is all about? How long is the battery warranty?
