A true driver’s car inspired by Porsche’s iconic air-cooled era, the 911 Sport Classic is a limited-edition model based on the 992 Turbo featuring a 7-speed manual transmission and rear-wheel-drive along with a special Heritage Design interior, unique exterior elements, and a host of performance options as standard. This example, one of 1,250 sold worldwide, is finished in Gentian Blue Metallic and generously optioned with the Burmester High-End Surround Sound System, Night Vision Assist, Power Steering Plus, Surround View, Race-Tex sun visors, leather inner door sills, and more. Delivered new at the Porsche Experience Center in Los Angeles, this Sport Classic is now being offered for auction by its seller out of California with under 100 miles showing on the odometer.

The 911 Sport Classic shares its bodywork with the contemporary Turbo model and features a unique indented hood and roof panel made from carbon fiber reinforced plastic (CFRP), LED-Matrix Design headlights in Black, and a ducktail rear spoiler inspired by the original 911 Carrera RS. Unlike the Turbo, the Sport Classic has rear fenders without air intakes for a more streamlined appearance. This example is finished in Gentian Blue Metallic with contrasting painted stripes. It rides on factory 20”/21” 911 Sport Classic wheels inspired by the iconic Fuchs design of the 1960s.

Crafted by Exclusive Manufaktur, the special Heritage Design combines Black and Classic Cognac leather with Pepita cloth upholstery. Details include a headliner in perforated Race-Tex upholstery, retro-style gauges with green numbers, an Exclusive Manufaktur embossed center console lid, 911 Sport Classic door sill plates, a dashboard limitation plaque, and extended leather covering the steering column and air vent slats. This example was further optioned with sun visors in Race-Tex, inner door sill guards and trim inlays in leather, under-door puddle light projectors, the Storage Package, Lane Keep Assist (LKA), Lane Change Assist (LCA), Surround View, Burmester High-End Surround Sound System, Night Vision Assist, power-folding exterior mirrors, a fire extinguisher, an ionizer, and Power Steering Plus.

A twin-turbocharged 3.7-liter flat-six engine produces up to 543 HP and 442 lb.-ft of torque, driving the rear wheels through a 7-speed manual transmission and a Porsche Torque Vectoring (PTV) limited-slip differential. Standard equipment includes Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes (PCCB), Rear Axle Steering, the Sport Chrono Package, PASM Sport suspension, Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control (PDCC), and a modified Sport Exhaust system. The balance of the original factory warranty remains in effect.

This sale will include the original window sticker and a clean title.

The seller would like you to know: "Exclusive Manufaktur is responsible for this incredible limited edition. It is NOT a GT. All have rear seats, Front axle lift, Fuchs-inspired polished wheels, and other things. These stunning sports cars are derived from the GTS and Turbo models. Delivery was at PECLA in February 2023. The PDI , Pre-Delivery Inspection, is accomplished by Porsche at PECLA , including gentle track shakedown miles. They ensure the center lock wheels are torqued properly as well as checking everything else. They also work on the experience cars. AS I recall it had about 30 total miles at delivery. Everyone's driving experiences are NEVER in the delivery car, but in their cars, that have proper "Run in Miles". My Sport Classic immediately took a flatbed ride on Mr C's to PFS , Protective Film Solutions, Santa Ana, for a total XPEL clear wrap and the latest ClearPlex Nano-Ceramic Windshield Protection. With PCA discount, it removes $8K from your bank account...WORTH IT ! I learned firsthand the value of Protective Film when my 1,100 mile GT4 RS ( which had a great response in March on PCarMarket) had an encounter with something on the front that perforated the film but left only the slightest imperfection, that was nearly invisible....and could not be discovered by anyone unless they looked at every square inch of the surfaces. Fortunately, no such encounter of that type has happened to this car.....HOWEVER...I did encounter a scrape on the driver-side skirt. It is the first time EVER, I have damaged any motorized vehicle on land, air, or water, while I had my hands on the wheel, stick/yoke, or tiller. While the damage was insignificant, I elected to NOT have it repaired, but just like front splitters, tires, and windshield wipers....replaced, painted, and wrapped. Things like this happen all the time to cars, after production, during shipment, and before being delivered. The difference here is.... that I am disclosing it....It may NOT be disclosed by manufacturers & dealers. Some suggested, that I NOT mention it . That's NOT me. Pictures are at the very bottom of the paired pictures. Part was $300 with a discount, $350 for Paint by STERLING ( Top shop for all the high-end dealers in the Newport Beach area), and $350 for wrap....which, has to be accomplished on the car, which accounts for some drive miles. Looking at the damaged part makes it clear, that part is NOT painted while on the car... Interesting. Part is 66" or 1.7 meters and 2.6 pounds or about 1.2 kilograms. it is not structural. It is held by 1 Phillips sheet metal screw in front and 3 in the rear. I would think it would have another 2 in front...Additionally, there are 8 plastic specialized retaining screw-like devices that are slotted and all the slots align longitudinally. Most tell me, I would never make it in sales, because of my honesty...OK.. I'll tell you my fuel philosophy and run-in procedures on another episode ...eNuff 4 Now. Ciao. "

Window Sticker clarification: One area where the "Monroney"(Senator from Oklahoma) sticker is deficient is
with PTS , Paint to Sample. The color and /or code is not shown. A Porsche Certificate of Authenticity has the
    color.

  • antenna-delete (seller) 2 weeks, 4 daysago

    MSRP $287,465 USD
Starting with picture # 138 , various portions of the window sticker are shown.

It’s important to note that the VIN is only possible to see on the complete picture of the window sticker or the portion of the lower right. It is important that you compare that VIN with pictures that Snappr photographers always take of the VIN in the door jam, as well as what is advertised in an auction. Do your
    Due Diligence.

The window sticker is effectively your certificate of authenticity, which is usually something you get for older Porsches because they don’t have window stickers which are a creation in the late 50s I believe.

You’ll also note that the $2000 PECLA Porsche experience center delivery in Los Angeles is part of the MSRP. What the buyer will get out of that experience , is pictures of the car in the Delivery presentation , All part of the legacy of this Limited edition Porsche.

To those interested - the Sport Classic is amazing to drive. I have one and it’s got close to 5k miles. Yeah, it’s beautiful too, and Gentian with these options is stunning. Now that mine is well past the run in period, I can tell you that it’s both a very capable companion in the twisties and a fantastic road trip GT…oh, and great date night car. A very compelling combination. With way (WAY) more power than you’re likely to use. Seriously, be prepared when you plant the throttle!

I have no affiliation with the seller, but bravo on the spec. I hate to say it, but I hope whatever happened to the side skirt is a normal thing for whoever buys it, if they use it. And please, somebody buy it and use it. It’s a car, blemishes can be repaired, please enjoy it and experience what it has to give you. You’re welcome.

  • antenna-delete (seller) 2 weeks, 6 daysago

No paint correction was accomplished before ppf was applied. NO ceramic products have been used. I have never had the car washed or detailed. I utilize
The XPEL detailer and car cover that came with the car. I believe the subsequent owner should make decisions on things. I did immediately put the PPF on to preserve it so that the subsequent owner can do whatever they want with the original finish.
I had an appraisal for fair market value accomplished at the cost of $425. The experienced appraiser gave the overall report of excellent. I told him about the replaced side skirt, and he remarked that it was a perfect match.
I had the free , 1 year 10,000 service accomplished in March . I wanted to NOT have the “service required” warning illuminated.

was paint correction done at the time of ppf application?

TGIF…rather than posting the poor pictures I just shot of the new driver side skirt…
I will invite anyone who has bid $400k or more , and/or their representative to view the car in person. Location is near the John Wayne /Orange County California airport KSAN. Viewing possible
Saturday 10-3 or Monday 10-noon …when the auction closes. Use the “Contact Seller” to arrange for viewing..

Gasoline philosophy: I had the car delivered with less than 1/4 tank and then I periodically add a gallon or two to freshen up the fuel.

Run in ….. Formally known as break in…
I support and adhere strictly to the RPM limits for the entire run in mileage.
I am fortunate to have other vehicle (s) That have completed their run in miles and the full range of RPM with is available. Thanks for viewing !

BalticBlue89- Please excuse the delay, . The scraped part, shown in the last 4 of the paired pictures, was removed. The new part was painted, then installed, then wrapped. All of the other paired pictures were taken AFTER the scraped part was replaced by the new part. Yes, I will post a picture of the new, color correct, wrapped, new Part. Yes, I would welcome an escrow through an attorney.Thank You.

  • BalticBlue89 (registered bidder) 3 weeks, 3 daysago

I'm afraid I'm not understanding the description with regard to the scrape on the driver's side skirt. Has this been repaired or not and can you please post photos of the CURRENT appearance of this area on the vehicle. Is there ppf on that skirt at this time?

Given the size of the transaction and the fact that you are a private party is it possible to complete the purchase via escrow with a respected attorney close to you?
