Based on the 992 Carrera 4 GTS Coupe, the 911 Dakar is a limited-edition homage to the Porsche 953 Carrera 4x4 that competed at the 1984 Paris-Dakar Rally. It features extensive off-road optimizations including a variable-height raised suspension, underbody protection, rear-axle steering, Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control (PDCC), Fuchs-style wheels with Pirelli All-Terrain tires, lightweight windows, a carbon fiber GT3 hood, and a cooling system borrowed from the 911 Turbo S. This 2024 Porsche 911 Dakar is finished in White with an optional “Rallye 1978” decal set and features a black leather and Race-Tex interior with deviated stitching, matte carbon fiber trim, illuminated door sills, the Extended Leather Package, and Burmester High-End Surround Sound System. Showing under 300 miles on the odometer, this 911 Dakar is now being offered for auction by its owner in New York.
The 911 Dakar features a carbon fiber hood borrowed from the GT3 as well as a rear diffuser, lightweight noise-insulated glass, black Sport Exhaust tailpipes, window trim and rear decklid slats in Satin Black, red brake calipers, LED-Matrix Design headlights in Black, and a fixed rear spoiler. It also comes with stainless-steel underbody skid plates, black wheel arch extensions, and black side skirts with stainless-steel inlays. This example is finished in White with optional “Rallye 1978” decals, painted exterior mirror bases, an accessory roof basket, and titanium bolts for the 19”/20” 911 Dakar wheels. The seller states the full exterior is preserved under clear paint protection film.
Equipped with full carbon fiber bucket seats, the Black leather and Race-Tex interior features the optional Extended Leather Package, deviated stitching, matte carbon fiber trim inlays, a Porsche-crested center console lid, a leather steering column casing, leather sun visors, seatbelts in Guards Red, a white central tachometer, and bespoke illuminated door sills in matte carbon fiber. Other options include a heated GT Sport steering wheel with matte carbon fiber trim, an ionizer, a fire extinguisher, Burmester High-End Surround Sound System, “911 Dakar” under door puddle light projectors, Surround View, and a Sport Chrono stopwatch dial in white.
A twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter flat-six engine delivers 473 HP to all four wheels through an 8-speed PDK transmission. The 911 Dakar comes standard with a 50mm-raised Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) setup as well as a front and rear axle lift system, Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control (PDCC), Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus (PTV+), rear-axle steering, the Sport Chrono Package, Sport Exhaust System, a Turbo S cooling system, and an Off-Road driving mode.
This sale will include the original window sticker, owner’s manuals, and a clean title.
