The Z900RS family rekindles the classic style of the original Z1 900 super naked, featuring a timeless design with minimal bodywork for a retro appearance. Each 2023 example comes finished in a special combination of Metallic Diablo Black with Metallic Imperial Red accents adorning the tear-drop-shaped fuel tank and tail fairing. A black leather seat, gold striping, and chrome brightwork complete the design. It rides on 17” multi-spoke wheels.

Power is derived from a four-stroke, DOHC 16-valve liquid-cooled inline four-cylinder engine, sending 948cc and 72.3 lb.-ft of torque to the rear wheel through a 6-speed manual transmission. Features include an Economical Riding Indicator, Assist & Slipper Clutch, dual throttle valves, Kawasaki Traction Control (KTRC), Sound Tuning, Ergo-Fit, horizontal back-link rear suspension, and an Anti-lock Brake System (ABS). Stopping power is provided by dual 300mm front discs with four-piston calipers, and a 250mm disc with a single-piston caliper at the rear. The suspension consists of a front inverted telescopic fork with adjustable compression and rebound damping & spring preload, and rear a horizontal back-link swingarm with step-less adjustable rebound damping and spring preload.
