@FourFourTwo Not sure what you mean not sold to a Porsche enthusiast. Man a comment like that is so elitist. I have a 997.2 GT3 w/buckets and want a NA Porsche for commuting, so bought a 991.1 GTS w/PDK and ducktail and love it. I have 3 911's now, and wee I had not just bought this GTS I'd be in on this one. But it's obvious I'm an enthusiast.

The touring is just that. Touring. I would not want a manual OR buckets And don't want to look like boy-racer either. This car is perfect.

As the final hour approaches, and regardless of the outcome, I would like to thank PCar for providing the platform for us to connect - and at times learn from one another. In addition, thanks to all the bidders, commentators and viewers.

Although the market slightly adjusted from its unusual spike, Amelia Island reported a 25 year record high in sales a week ago…as did Scottsdale and Monterey before it. Lastly I would say, you will be hard pressed to find another Touring like this one with the unique specs that would demand a premium verses the typical specs that there are multiple copies of out there.

May the best man or women win!

@MWCRLN exactly the original point of the gt3 touring! GT3 power and driving experience without the track focused looks. Looking forward to bidding on this and anything else you might have for sale in your collection

Cannot speak of more highly of @MWCRLN. We have been working with them for years and they are very high character people. Have confidence that what is represented here is exactly what you will get, if not better.

@FourFourTwo Flipping days are done and gone...
My reserve is below my cost, I paid a BIG premium back in October...
Ten or more of my cars are 1 off builds/spec, as I always seek something different than the other car at the traffic light.
How many bucket manual Touring's out there, also many paid almost 13K for a PTS, but very few paid 15k+ for an Exclusive interior :)

  • FourFourTwo 1 year, 9 monthsago

Beautiful spec though, and hopefully the lucky winner will enjoy many miles in this car for years to come.

  • FourFourTwo 1 year, 9 monthsago

@scuderia Not on a touring if purchased at MSRP. But, if seller wanted to maximize profit flipping this car with hardly more than delivery miles, he should have specified manual with buckets. Sad… it seems the car was not sold to a P-car enthusiast as AP would have hoped.

@911dudette Pleasure meeting such a gentleman... I enjoyed taking cars with you!

  • 911dudette (registered bidder) 1 year, 9 monthsago

The seller was gracious enough to show me the car in person today. Pictures may be worth a thousand words but they don’t do justice to the car when seeing it in person.

@mwcrln, … not sure how to DM… I am located in Houston. Could we arrange to see the car in person? Also, would you be interested in a trade?

    Good morning, gents...
I have sent the spec sheet to Pcar day 1, sent it again last night and have asked them repeatedly to upload it, nevertheless, here it is...
    Apologies for the delay!

Interesting. Wonder if the the old adage about automatics costing more when new and being worth less when used will hold true on this one.

  • turboboostin (registered bidder) 1 year, 9 monthsago

Wow, the first time I've seen a Touring with PDK. Cool spec, GLWA!

  • JakeMacZ 1 year, 9 monthsago

@MWCRLN A dealer and no pic of the sticker? ;)
Surprised Ferrari of Houston didn't move it!
    Agate looks great on Tourings!

  • Maxximoto5227 (registered bidder) 1 year, 9 monthsago

What an amazing spec on this car! Looks conservative, yet packs the GT3 punch! As an older Gentleman, this car appeals to me both on the inside and out. When I was younger I bought the brightly colored GT cars, but now I like the idea of having all the guts with less flash. Rarely is a spec like this ever seen on a GT3, I'm sure it will bring out the bidders who have hoped for a car such as this. GLWTA

  • MWCRLN (seller) 1 year, 9 monthsago

    Greetings, Porsche enthusiasts...

Thank you for viewing what I call "The Gentleman GT."

A little introduction here: I am a retired dealer with a stellar reputation that has gathered around 30 very unique and special cars, mostly Porsches...

I may release up to 10 cars and hold the rest, and would like to give the successor of this auction a shot at one, or more, in my collection only if they have the appetite for another...

I look forward to engaging and possibly meeting another Porsche enthusiast like myself.
