Flipping is legal and how some make a living. apparently.
Still, a dick move , IMHO, nd a real source of aggravation to those of us who want to actually drive the cars and cannot get one for ourselves at a P dealer.
Akin to buying tickets from a scalper or ticket re-seller. They just get in the way of a legitimate transaction and annoyingly jack up the price with zero added value to the manufacturer nor the end user.

@Lkbtwins Your great dealer would be unwise to sell you a 2022 at MSRP .
In a way- the premium keeps the flippers AWAY. Think about it. I'm buying mine to love and I am able to get it because I paid the market price; well below market price...
@991gt3 , my dealer is great paid MSRP for 2008, 2018? And 2022 ( I would not sell for $ 350,000 , too much highway and track fun, cheers)
Bid in the amount of $252,000
Bid in the amount of $251,250
It's market price, ever heard of supply and demand? I've got an allocation but had to give $75k premium and wasn't guaranteed to get it at first... I would have to get 100 over retail to break even with taxes.
If the seller did something to buy at retail, power to him.
This heavy optioned spec should fetch 125 plus premium and the buyer will be ecstatic.
Agree this is a buy to flip and ashame ! I have a 992 GT-3,and years to get an allocation, I will put 10,000 highway miles and 24+ track days/year, average on each of the three I have owned. Drivers should get these cars only!
@Nj993c2 Don't you know how the game is played?
You may not like it, but it is not "first come, first served" - He had the right trade for Porsche, attended enough events and has bought enough of the make to make allocation.
Good on him.
This auction is fascinating. The seller clearly bought this with intention to flip, meaning thousands of others who want one to own and enjoy one couldn’t utilize this allocation. Would love for the dealers to figure out a way to stop this - be it right of first refusal or minimal hold time on specialty cars….
