The Shelby GT500 was introduced as the flagship version of the sixth-generation Ford Mustang, optimized for the track with a hand-built supercharged “Predator” V8 engine, aggressive aerodynamics, and a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission making it the fastest accelerating Mustang ever produced. The GT500 features distinctive front and rear fascias with functional splitters and wire mesh grills, a rear wing, and a vented bonnet with self-centering hood pins. The Carbon Fiber Track Pack adds a revised front fascia with splitter wickers, a manually adjustable carbon fiber rear wing, and 20” exposed carbon fiber wheels mounted with Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires. This example comes finished in Iconic Silver Metallic, accented by an optional Bright White over-the-top stripe and side stripes. The rear wheels are driven by a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, providing acceleration from 0-60 MPH in 3.4 seconds to a top speed of 180 MPH. Performance features include electronic power-assisted steering, an engine oil cooler, an independent rear suspension, launch control/line lock, Ford Track Apps for recording telemetry and performance data, a Magenride adaptive dampening suspension, 6-piston front and 4-piston rear Brembo brake calipers over vented discs, and a Torsen limited-slip differential. The Carbon Fiber Track Pack also adds adjustable strut top mounts. This vehicle remains under the factory warranty.
