The most potent version of the Mercedes-AMG GT, the Black Series once set a record-breaking lap time at the Nürburgring with its twin-turbocharged V8 engine producing 720 HP along with carbon ceramic brakes and an aggressive aerodynamic package. Stored inside a climate-controlled indoor facility, this 2021 example is finished in Obsidian Black Metallic over a Black and Orange interior and is now being offered for auction by its owner out of California with just over 200 miles showing on the odometer. The Black Series features widened bodywork compared to a standard AMG GT along with an enlarged front grille inspired by the Mercedes-AMG GT3 race car. The specialized aerodynamic package includes exposed carbon fiber accents as well as a bonnet with large air outlets, vented fenders, a manually adjustable front splitter, a rear diffuser, side skirts, and a double rear wing. This example comes finished in Obsidian Black Metallic and rides on factory 19”/20” AMG Black Series 10-spoke forged wheels. An additional set of unique gold-painted wheels will accompany the sale. The cabin is trimmed in Black Exclusive Nappa Leather and DINAMICA upholstery with Orange stitching and AMG matte carbon fiber inlays. Other features include heated AMG Performance seats, an AMG Performance steering wheel, AMG door sills and floor mats, dual-zone automatic climate control, COMAND Navigation, and Apple CarPlay.
The Black Series is equipped with a twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V8 engine producing up to 720 HP and 590 lb.-ft of torque. The rear wheels are driven through an AMG Speedshift 7-speed DCT transmission mated to a carbon fiber composite driveshaft and torque tube. Standard features include AMG Traction Control, an AMG Performance exhaust system, AMG Dynamic engine and transmission mounts, an electronic limited-slip differential, a high-performance ceramic composite braking system, and forged double wishbone suspension. The CARFAX report shows a total of six service history entries.

The reason why I bought this super car is because, I collect super cars and this one is absolutely insane looking and is the best Mercedes has ever put out. I have driven this car only once and it is truly incredible, very fast and many cell phones taking videos of it! I do agree it needs an owner that will drive it and really enjoy it.

unfortunately I will not have enough time before the auction is over to get a paint meter reading, but this super car has only 205 miles on it and a clean car fax report, the paint is flawless and is in immaculate condition!

To answer your question: I heard that there were 387 in the US. My understanding is that this is the only black AMG GT Black Series with gold rims. My purchase (with all options) was $445K and the gold rims, treads, sensors and gold lug nuts was $18K.
