With only 30 examples to be produced exclusively for the U.S. market, the R8 Panther Edition receives special Panther Black Crystal paint, carbon fiber trim, unique matte black 20” wheels with red accents, and a Crimson Red leather interior along with Audi's Sport exhaust system and a premium Bang & Olufsen sound system. Showing just over 1,500 miles on the odometer, this rare and highly collectible R8 Panther Edition is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Ohio.

This exterior of this R8 is finished in Panther Black Crystal (LZ9Z), the same color chosen for Audi’s debut RS5 model at the 2019 Los Angeles Auto Show. Speckled with metallic flakes giving the hue a unique sheen, the Panther Edition’s paint has a deep purple appearance when viewed up close. The Panther Edition also receives carbon fiber mirror caps, carbon fiber side blades, and a carbon-fiber engine cover visible through the glass of the rear engine compartment lid, as well as black Audi rings, black V10 fender emblems, and black R8 badges on the front and rear. LED lighting is standard on both the headlights and taillights, and the billet aluminum gas cap features an embossed “R8” logo on the passenger side. This R8 rides on exclusive Audi Sport 20” 5-V-Spoke Evo Design anthracite wheels with red accented windows and black lug nuts, which are clad in Audi-specific Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires.

The interior of the R8 Panther Edition is trimmed in Crimson Red Nappa leather with black leather and Alcantara accents as well as Crimson Red contrast stitching. Carbon fiber trim is featured throughout the center console, Virtual Cockpit surround, air vents, and dashboard inserts. The deeply bolstered 18-way heated and powered sport seats display embossed R8 logos as well as Bang & Olufsen emblems where the headrest speakers are located. A flat-bottomed Alcantara wrapped multifunction steering wheel with deviated red stitching and 12-o’clock marker match the gear selector and headliner. Illuminated stainless steel door sills with R8 badging greet driver upon entry along with exclusive black R8 floor mats with red piping. Audi’s Virtual Cockpit system provides information to the driver through a 12.3-inch color screen that displays vehicle data and multimedia functions. This second-generation R8 comes equipped with a Lamborghini-derived 5.2L V10 FSI engine which sends up to 532 HP and 398 lb.-ft of torque to the rear wheels through a 7-speed dual-clutch S-Tronic automatic transmission and mechanical limited-slip differential. The R8 can reach 60 miles per hour in as little as 3.6 seconds and has a claimed top speed of over 200 MPH. The rear-wheel-drive version of the R8 weighs about 143 lbs. less than its Quattro counterpart and equips a stiffer front anti-roll bar, increased negative wheel camber, and reprogrammed traction and stability control settings. The steering wheel-mounted Audi drive select button allows the driver to select between different performance modes as well as adjust the sound of the Audi Sport exhaust system.
