Equipped with a mid-mounted 4.0 L flat-six engine paired with a 6-speed manual gearbox, the GT4 offers a driving experience unlike most any other car available today.  Custom ordered from the factory and delivered new at the Porsche Experience Center in Atlanta, this GT4 came well equipped with 18-way Adaptive Sport Seats, the Chrono Package, illuminated Door-Sill Guards in Carbon fiber, LED headlights, and much more, amounting to an original sticker price of over $118k.  Showing just over 1,500 miles on the odometer, this 718 GT4 is now being offered for auction by the original owner out of Ocala, Florida.

The Gentian Blue Metallic finished is said to be free of any noteworthy imperfections, detailed images are provided in the photo gallery along with a clean CARFAX. The GT4 can be differentiated from other 718 models by its lower stance, aggressive front fascia, large rear diffuser, and fixed rear wing. This particular GT4 highlights some exclusive exterior details including a high gloss black model designation, brake calipers, and door handles as well as a satin black rear Porsche logo and 20" GT4 wheels.

Inside, you will find a black leather and Alcantara interior accented by Silver deviated stitching and Anthracite brushed aluminum trim.  The cabin is said to remain like new, and the original window sticker includes the following specifications:

  • 342 Seat heating
  • 509 Fire Extinguisher
  • 573 2-zone Automatic Climate Control
  • 581 Luggage net in the passenger footwell
  • 583 Smoking Package
  • 630 Light Design Package
  • 9ZE Smartphone Compartment
  • CHM Carbon Fiber Floor Mats with Leather Edging
  • P07 Adaptive Sport Seats Plus (18-way)
  • P13 Auto-Dimming Mirrors
  • P1B Interior Trim in Anthracite Brushed Aluminum i.c.w. Leather Interior
  • QR5 Chrono Package with Preparation for Lap Trigger
  • XLJ Storage Compartment Lid in Alcantara® with Porsche Crest
  • XSH Seat belts in Silver Grey
  • XXD Door-Sill Guards in Carbon Fiber, Illuminated

The GT4's high-revving naturally-aspirated 4.0 flat-six engine produces 414 horsepower, which is sent to the rear wheels through a visceral 6-speed manual transmission. 0-60 MPH is achieved in as little as 3.7 seconds and the quarter-mile is covered in less than 12 seconds. The refined aerodynamics, GT3-derived suspension and brakes, and impressive power to weight ratio allow the 718 GT4 to handle the road with precision and ease.  With just over 1,500 miles traveled from new, this GT4 is said to be in fantastic driving condition for its next owner.

A clean Florida title is included with the sale, as well as owner's manuals, two keys, the original window sticker, and a Porsche car cover. For a discerning enthusiast in search of a true modern driver’s car, the 718 Cayman GT4 is among the best options available.

    @captgiddyup
    No one is disputing the speed and efficiency of the PDK. The purpose of my post was to attempt to explain why some of us neanderthals prefer to go slower rowing our own. Fun for some of us is spirited driving on the twisties of a country road. For others it is optimizing lap times on a track. Choose your kind of fun and select your weapon of choice.

    @BoxsterSx2 Shifting Gears makes sense for some Porsche Owners but not others. No Human Being on Earth can shift faster & more efficiently than a PDK. Having owned 16 Porsche 911’s (S, T, TS) I don’t miss a Manual hence my bidding on this GT4
    Go figure. LOL

  • BoxsterSx2 3 years, 8 monthsago

    I daily drive a 6 spd manual 981 Spyder. It is the most fun and rewarding car I have ever owned. It is my 8th Porsche. I personally would not consider a PDK in a car like this. Not because it would not be a fabulous car, but because it simply would not be as much fun to drive. I also have a 2017 NSX that is much quicker and faster and has a 9 speed dual clutch transmission. It is a great car, but it also is not as much fun to drive. Every weapon has it's purpose.

    @zachlangan WoW Z! Thanks so much for enlightening me.

  • zachlangan (registered bidder) 3 years, 8 monthsago

    @captgiddyup the reason PDK is a hard sell for some folks is they realize this is not a racecar; it's simply a tool for enjoyment. Even for those of us that do in fact track their cars regularly (I'm one) we realize there's much more to enjoy about these cars than setting the fastest lap times. Porsche was perplexed at the high take-rate of manual from 991.2 GT3 buyers (70% in the US) and that's just indicative of these being pleasure vehicles. The prize is sensory overload; not a trophy.

    @bachschmidt My previous observation does NOT me I won’t own this GT4

  • captgiddyup (registered bidder) 3 years, 8 monthsago

    @bachschmidt Since 1973 I’ve owned 16 Manual Transmission 911S , 4S, & Turbo S Porsche & 1 PDK. 16:1 (May I say respectfully (of course) PDK soooo RULES!
    What confuses me is quite simple. If PDK is faster & safer, WHY on EARTH is PDK such a hard sell when Formula 1 Is all Paddle Shifting? I’m not a smart man so....keep on shifting & clutching. GiddyUp!

  • bachschmidt (seller) 3 years, 8 monthsago

    @captgiddyup The manuals are the way to go! This car is so much fun to drive!

    All of the Reviews on this great Porsche & GTS speak of how a close ratio PDK will dramatically change performance. PDK will be faster but would the PDK rob the GT4 of Esprit de Porsche? Being undecided maybe this Beauty might get sniper-ed by me in the last 45 seconds of the Auction. What an awesome Porsche!
