Based on the 570S GT4’s single-piece carbon fiber Monocell II chassis, the McLaren 620R also features the GT4's manually adjustable carbon fiber rear wing, made road-legal with the addition of a third brake light. The front bumper, splitter, and vented bonnet have been redesigned for the road, providing an additional 65kg of downforce at the front. Offered in just three GT4-inspired colors, this 620R is specified in Onyx Black with orange decals. Optional equipment includes McLaren Orange brake calipers with silver logos along with Gloss Black-finished center-locking wheels which come wrapped in Pirelli P Zero Trofeo R tires. Additionally, this model is the first road-legal car engineered to run on slicks with 19” front and 20” rear wheels, without the need for additional mechanical adjustments. The rear wheels are driven through a 7-speed automatic Seamless Shift Gearbox (SSG) with twin multi-place clutches and McLaren's Inertia Push technology, allowing acceleration from 0-60 MPH in just 2.8 seconds. Performance features include launch control, adaptive dampers, a lightweight suspension including aluminum wishbones and sport-tuned anti-rollbars, a lightweight braking system featuring a McLaren Senna-derived brake booster, carbon ceramic discs, and forged aluminum calipers.
