The McLaren 620R is the most powerful version of the Sports Series, featuring the adjustable aerodynamics and carbon fiber Monocell II chassis from the 570S GT4, along with lightweight carbon fiber interior components and an array of race-ready equipment. It is powered by a twin-turbocharged 3.8-liter V8 paired with a 7-speed Seamless Shift Gearbox. Notable features include McLaren’s Inertia Push technology, manually adjustable dampers, a lightweight suspension, a Senna-derived brake booster in its advanced carbon ceramic braking system, and much more. Finished in Onyx with orange decals over matching Alcantara upholstery, this 620R is #151 of 350 planned production units, though the final production run was limited to just 225 examples. Stored inside a climate-controlled garage, this race-inspired machine is now being offered for auction by its seller out of New York with 4,600 miles showing on the odometer.
Based on the 570S GT4’s single-piece carbon fiber Monocell II chassis, the McLaren 620R also features the GT4's manually adjustable carbon fiber rear wing, made road-legal with the addition of a third brake light. The front bumper, splitter, and vented bonnet have been redesigned for the road, providing an additional 65kg of downforce at the front. Offered in just three GT4-inspired colors, this 620R is specified in Onyx Black with orange decals. Optional equipment includes McLaren Orange brake calipers with silver logos along with Gloss Black-finished center-locking wheels which come wrapped in Pirelli P Zero Trofeo R tires. Additionally, this model is the first road-legal car engineered to run on slicks with 19” front and 20” rear wheels, without the need for additional mechanical adjustments. Other exterior features include soft-close dihedral doors, front canards, a front splitter, LED headlights, a front axle lift system, and a rear valence with integrated dual exhaust outlets selected in MSO Nano Black. Clear paint protection film has been applied to forward-facing areas, along with a full ceramic coating. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
Inside, the cockpit is outfitted with black Alcantara upholstery, carbon fiber trim, Super-Lightweight carbon fiber bucket seats, and optional McLaren Orange six-point racing harnesses. Additional options include McLaren Track Telemetry with lap-time recording & three cameras, a Bowers & Wilkins 12-speaker audio system, air conditioning, and a fire extinguisher. Other equipment includes MSO Extended Carbon Fiber door sill finishers, an MSO Defined harness bar, a Red Alcantara 12 o’clock steering wheel marker, carbon fiber shift paddles, red door nets & pull straps, parking sensors, and a rear parking camera. Additionally, a numerated plaque can be found below the infotainment touchscreen, designating this 620R as #151, and custom floor mats have been fitted.
The 620R is powered by a mid-mounted twin-turbocharged 3.8-liter flat-plane crank V8 engine generating a factory-rated 612 HP and 457 lb.-ft of torque. The rear wheels are driven through a 7-speed automatic Seamless Shift Gearbox (SSG) with twin multi-place clutches and McLaren's Inertia Push technology, allowing acceleration from 0-60 MPH in just 2.8 seconds. Performance features include launch control, adaptive dampers, a lightweight suspension including aluminum wishbones and sport-tuned anti-rollbars, a lightweight braking system featuring a McLaren Senna-derived brake booster, carbon ceramic discs, and forged aluminum calipers. The seller adds that an annual service was carried out in June 2024 at McLaren of Roslyn, NY, including an oil change and complete inspection.
This sale will include a clean title, owner’s manuals, a window sticker, a car cover, and a battery charger.
